Red Room

Description

Hidden within The Connaught, The Red Room is an intimate and atmospheric wine destination, discreetly accessed through a velvet-curtained doorway from the Champagne Room. Designed as a refined yet immersive space, it pairs an exceptional wine list—drawn from The Connaught’s renowned cellars—with wine-led cocktails and a thoughtful selection of artisanal charcuterie, cheeses and small plates.

Dishes such as veal carpaccio and kale tempura are crafted to complement and elevate each pour, creating a seamless food and wine experience.

The bar’s identity is deeply rooted in art and design. Conceived by Bryan O’Sullivan, the interior features a soft, elegant palette that allows a striking collection of red-themed works by visionary female artists to take centre stage. Highlights include Louise Bourgeois’ I Am Rouge, set against a backdrop of sculptural elements, a mosaic runway and a distinctive pink onyx bar—together forming a sophisticated and visually rich setting.
