Went there on Saturday night and had a great time, the waitress got an order wrong once but that didn't spoil the night. The cocktails tasted great and just a fun place to hang out. Visited Purl on 2017-12-09

I went here with a friend not realizing that this was a secluded date spot. The couples seemed to be having a good time, but it is not a venue for the platonic. We had two cocktails each - the presentation was memorable, but the drinks themselves were not. I was not a fan. Visited Purl on 2017-08-24

Disgusted. Table booked for 6.00pm for 4 two of the group were running late and arrived at 6.30pn. The other two members of our group arrived on time, but were told that the could not order any more drinks after 6.30 pm as there is an half hour drinking up policy, so the late members of the group who came from High Wycombe could not even get a drink. Never heard of such a rule and we will definitely not be going back. Staff were extremely rude as well.

Amazing place to chill and relax with your mates. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and chilled night out. The prices weren't too bad and the staff were nice aswell.

Absolutely loved this place. Their cocktails are spot on - they serve them in wacky camera lenses! The bartenders are easy on the eyes too. Overall, it's a great spot.

I went to this place on a date. Really nice decor and cocktails but one of the staff serving us was a bit pushy and noisy. I recommend you book a place near the band. Will still come again.

Had a 20's themed birthday here and it was not exactly amazing. As it was just before Christmas I expected it to have a great atmosphere with staff dressed to suit the venue. It was pretty quiet in there and drinks were poorly made, there was no dry ice or charming concoctions. I don't actually drink alcohol but you would expect, so called expert mixologists to be able to create a nice non-alcoholic drink? The waitress dropped one of our drinks and there was broken glass everywhere, luckily no one got cut. I was just disappointed as I had been looking for a venue and one of the barmen said he will ensure that I receive a theatrical experience and that definitely did not happen, Especially as the staff who served us wore ordinary sloppy clothing and delivered a sloppy service.

What a funky cool place its like walking into your grandmothers living room and granny is cool as hell BTW. they take their drinks serious as they do the service. I had an old fashioned with bourbon old Grandads. the Whisk,y sour was off the charts. date night or chilled out chatty with great music.

Really cool bar, had a great time! The bartenders are really fun and would engage in a conversation. Cocktails are delicious but quite small. The place is never crowded - very intimate - which is good but bear that in mind if you want something more part-like.

Really didn't like the place, had a very poor experience. I felt the service was far below expectations. The prices were high, the bar staff a bit snooty, better places !

This is one the coolest, most understated bars I've been to in London. Great bartenders, amazing cocktails and a great place to hang out and chat with friends. Definitely a favourite!

My friend poped here for an after-work unwind and he never stopped talking about it ever since! He made me so curious, the next day I grabbed my girlfriend and enjoyed some of the most coquet cocktails in Mayfair. Yuuum.

is a liquid labyrinth with all kinds of details nestled in the various nooks and crannies. The star attraction is the retro telephone booth providing no purpose other than decoration, then there’s the upright piano which looks like a cheeky chappy with high-waisted pin-stripe trousers, braces and flat cap will pull up a stool and start tinkling away at any moment.

There was live jazz music when I went there, just a sax playing, and a piano, really made the atmosphere even more authentic. Drinks are tasty and well researched. Could really use a real bookshelf instead of the pictured postery books.

A classic speakeasy with top staff and even better drinks. Love the location and how easy it is to get to from tube stations (bond street is best) best to visit on a wednesday when it isnt too busy

Went here for an after dinner drinks once. Great little space with lots of different areas to explore. Shame to have missed out on the dry ice cocktail though.

Molecular mixology cocktail bars are becoming more prominent throughout London over the last couple of years. Pioneering the way was 69 Colebrook row, the tiny little 4 table cubby hole in Islington, and since then Purl has opened its doors in Marylebone serving some really quite inventive creations. The policy at Purl is reservation only because a lot of the space is really quite intimate and the tables are kept apart and away from the bar, which I found quite strange, but oddly it works. The service could be a bit slicker but the cocktails are worth the wait and not overpriced at all. All round I haven’t got too much to say about Purl, but it’s a great little drinking hole if you live in Marylebone and somewhere to take someone as a treat for sure.
