Mahiki in Mayfair is a Polynesian Paradise in central London with an A-list celebrity and royal following.  Set over two floors, this club has an elaborate Tiki bar style filled with  tropical creations designed to tempt and delight. The interior boasts hand-made Princess' chairs, colourful Hawaiian cushions, hand-carved tiki figures, intimate green rush affect banquettes, all amplifying the illusion of having arrived at some distant port of pleasure. It’s the ultimate destination for the cocktail lover, as well as for dinner, dancing and birthday celebrations in London. They offer great deals on Birthday arrangements with private areas, and even a surprise birthday theatre.

Their cocktails goes beyond comparison in flavour and presentation with for example the Bikini Blast which is served in an atomic watermelon with a flaming shot. (Fresh watermelon and pineapple blended with Jose Cuervo Tradicional, lemon juice and sugar.) Their food is as exotic with dishes like Calamari with spicy tomato sauce, miniature burgers, steak sandwiches and duck pancakes, etc.

As the evening proceeds they crank up the party with DJs playing floor-filler classics that you can’t help but dance along to. Mahiki has a BIG reputation in the London bar scene for its excellence and despite this still manages to create an un-pretentious fun night out for friends. Make sure you get down early or make a booking as the queue at Mahiki can be long most nights of the week and they have a no guest list policy.

I wonder if you name your club/bar a cocktail bar. And you are unable to make a white Russian cos you do not have any milk. you might rename it or go to a shop and buy 10 bottles for 12£. The "dude" would have broken the bar :) Once again, a smart and well educated bouncer kick me out cos he found me french kissing a lady. This club is not meant to meet new people apparently. I will try my luck elsewhere...

Horrific experience. Added an additional £1000 to our bill. Rude staff. We emailed a complaint and were told we would be refunded - that was 2 months ago!

Easy enough to get into as we had a table so wasn't too bad however the staff downstairs are very rude in particular the bar staff who seemed more intoxicaed than most of the people in there

The cocktails are amazing and the tiki decor as well, however we were hoping music would have been much better than the mainstream club beats they were playing, other than that worth going for a hawaiian hype!

Went for a friend's birthday, and a misunderstanding at the door nearly ruined our night. There was an issue with the card we'd used to open a tab, and we were sent to go and withdraw over £500 to get let in for our table, and a deposit of £500 had already been paid prior to that... In terms of the actual club though ,the bartenders were really friendly and fun and keen to sort out the misunderstanding. We had a good time in the end, the presentation of drinks is great, the music is decent, the crowd is alright. We went on a monday night too and it was pretty busy. A bit hot in there, but I'd go again, hopefully the door people won't be as rude next time...

I expected quite a stuck up party scene but I was there on a Thursday with a friend working in publicity, and it was just one of the best nights of my life (not trying to advertise). I'm from Norway and all though drinks were expensive it felt pretty normal as well. In Norway a drink is always 11 pounds or more. Also, Harry Styles and a huge crew of his was there that night. One of them was a guy who bought me a drink. I just remember walking around and feeling I'd entered club heaven. It was truly great:-)

My advice is that you shouldn't plan on going to this place as there's no guarantee you'll get in. There's no excuse for being rude to guests but it seems like you don't need one if you're a bouncer.

Best night club I have been to. Where else are you going to be able to party with celebs and a bunch of gorgeous people. Drinks were amazing and staff just as good. X

this club is a disgrace!!! myself and a friend before travelling 2hours to get to this club rang the club for advice & information we was dressed very classy and smart but as we got to the doors we just stood at the doors queing up to be totally ignored by every employee (door men etc) like we was completly invisible it was absoltly disgusting to this is how this clubs employees are treating people. and they as even entering people into the club that was stood behind us we was competly blanked. so i asked a door man if we was going to get let in and he told us that it was a private party and the entry was closed if that was the case why didnt we get told that instead of stood there for 20minutes being unknowledge. im very disgusted vile rude stupid people

Went to Mahiki for a DKNY after party a while ago - very expensive drinks as you would expect. There's also the usual lot of bankers and trust fund kids but actually pretty good music. Their head bartender is a bit mad but great cocktails.

Mahiki is one of those clubs that is only worth going to if you know someone who works there otherwise you'll be spending a bomb on the drinks which are good but not worth 12 pound for a Tequila. The menu suddenly changes at 9 when drinks go up a lot. Mahiki is perfect for celeb and glamour model spotting but it is just too hot in the over crowded tiki themed basement to party all night.

Mahiki baby! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve ended up at Mahiki. Their Thursday night is my favourite evening with Henry Conway. Still an absolute classic, this club has had more press than all of the others combined. A true right of passage for any west end clubber Mahiki is an institution in its own right. It is London’s first premium Tiki bar serving fantastic cocktails made by a great team of cocktail bartenders. They like to flame up most of their drinks too. Famous for the treasure chest sharing cocktail and Zombie cocktail, the club really pushed the boundaries on late night cocktails. They’ve recently opened up their ‘no-tell motel’ concept upstairs which is quite a nice twist on a tiki speakeasy but I actually preferred the way it was before. The team work really well there and the service is great.

1 person(s) found this helpful'll love it or loath it. The furnishing and ambiance speak for themselves. It's just not quite friendly and relaxed enough, through no fault of its own, as it is with much of the ubiquitous high-end central London bar scene.
