Staff will be dusting down their catsuits and donning their fake moustaches to become Freddie For A Day on Tuesday 5 September, to raise funds and awareness for the Mercury Phoenix Trust and the fight against AIDS and HIV.

Freddie For A Day, now in its sixth year, is a fundraising initiative of the Mercury Phoenix Trust which encourages friends and fans around the world to spend the day dressed as Freddie Mercury on what would have been the legend’s birthday.

Our special party located in our Rock Room will include an epic Queen soundtrack with the live band 'POWER' performing some of the tracks with delicious food and drink available for purchase along with some special Freddie twists!

Food will be available with a special item we know Freddie would have loved, the Chicken Tandoori Spiced Burger!

Bar staff were lovely but they could have done with an extra member of bar staff. Limited food on offer so ended up eating upstairs. So many good queen songs but they seemed to play the same ones over & over on a loop which got a bit boring. Band were good fun & played some good songs. Visited Hard Rock Cafe on 2017-09-05

Very disappointing. No raffle ticket as stated. Band played random songs (not sure what Total Eclipse of the Heart has to do with Freddie?). Staff could have dressed in yellow. Why not give everyone Freddie masks? No merch on sale for MPT. I won't be going back next year! Visited Hard Rock Cafe on 2017-09-05

It was awful. We arrived at 6.00. Given a Freddie for the day tash. The staff were miserable and had no idea what was going on, There was no programme of events. You could only sit down if you were eating. If you wanted to eat you had a choice of 2 starters & 3 burgers. No deserts No coffee. The only theme was a Freddie cardboard cut out photo op, 4 Freddie masks behind the bar and Queen greatest hits playing in the background. After 2 hours it was announced we were here to celebrate Freddie's birthday and there would be a prize (Freddie goodie bag) for the person with most likes on Facebook/Twitter etc. The prize would be awarded at 8.45 when the band finished, With that the band (who made no effort to get into the spirit) played "lets go crazy by Prince" (why?? what's wrong with Let Me Entertain You or We Will Rock You?) before murdering Don't stop me now and Crazy Little Thing. With nothing to look forward to we left. Freddie will be spinning in his grave. Visited Hard Rock Cafe on 2017-09-05

Hi Every One at HRC London! Given the standard you maintained the legendary HARD ROCK Cafe in Old Piccadilly, London., I have no doubt that this party is going to be as exciting as before. Also note that I was so impressed of your WOMEN members of staff upstairs in the ADMIN office that I must drop a few words appreciation. They are excellent Rock Stars too who explained my concerns well with dignified courtesy. They are classic example of how staff should be. It was all about the MY REWARDS. I have been a fan of the HRC ever since it was opened in 1970s. (1973?) My hats off to them and staff front and back office who work very hard to keep us happy while maintaining the standard and Ethos of its work on charity world wide. My friends and me are not disappointed even once during my so many visits. Thank you ALL. Best wishes from us. Raghu Shetty Surrey. England. UK.
