Our Winemaker dinners are an opportunity to spend time with some of the world's most exciting winemakers, experiencing the wines with their expert guidance. You'll be amazed at how much a winemaker's personality can be expressed through their wines, and by the passion they bring to making them.
We are delighted to welcome Daniele Pelassa for an evening tasting wonderful Barolos and other wine from his family's 12-hectare vineyard in Montà D’Alba, Piedmont. Daniele's father Mario established the winery in post-war Italy. From these humble beginnings, the Pelassa family now make world class wines and their 2013 Barolo was awarded an outstanding 95 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
After a reception glass of the delicious, crisp Mario's Bianco, Daniele will talk us through the history of the winery and wine making in Piedmont. We'll taste some of the estate's finest wines including a new single vineyard Barolo which we have shipped to the UK for the first time.
The tasting is followed by a specially prepared 4-course menu, with a wine paired with each course and Daniele on hand to answer any questions.
Please note, seating may be at communal tables and menus sometimes include sharing dishes.
