Set beneath the arches of a Victorian viaduct, in the heart of London's Bankside, Vinopolis is one of London's premier hotspots for wine lovers. On Thursday 12th September they are holding a very special tasting session, co-hosted by Georg Riedel (10th generation glassmaker and owner of Riedel Crystal). Alongside Angelo Gaja (4th generation owner of Gaja Winery) he will offer a crafted tasting which coincides with the 40th anniversary of Riedel’s Sommelier collection. Angelo has specially chosen the wines for the celebratory evening; Gaia & Rey 2009, Ca Marcanda 2008 and Gaja Sperss 2004.
Goerg himself is the pioneer of the concept of producing stemware that matches and compliments and matches different wines - a brilliant fusion between the functional and the aesthetic. This is the perfect wine tasting event, whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or merely a rank amateur, Georg and Angelo have a fantastic evening in store at Vinopolis.
The tasting runs from 7pm to 8.30pm; Standard Tickets cost £125 per person (ticket includes a Vinum XL set worth £82.50) and VIP Tickets cost £175 per person (ticket price includes a Sommelier glass set worth £315).
