Bar Daskal, is a cosy Spanish bar and events space in London Bridge’s Borough Yards, offering first-class Spanish drinks. Split across two floors, the upper floor with its own bar can accommodate 25 for private parties and is filled with natural light. For larger celebrations, the whole venue is available to book for exclusive hire and can accommodate 55.

The bar takes its name from artist, Vladimir Daskaloff or ‘Daskal’, who worked from a studio in Estellencs in Mallorca. Daskal was the grandfather of the bar’s owners, Sam and James Hart, and Anna Watkins, who grew up visiting Estellencs. With its warm lighting, tactile and rounded surfaces, and Mallorcan textiles, it is designed to emulate Daskal’s studio and is home to a rare and permanent exhibition of his original artworks.

The drinks menu, which includes quality Spanish wines and sherries and cocktails, is curated by Barrafina and Parrillan’s Group Wine Buyer, Rafa Martin, and Head of Beverage Nick Jackson. There is a concise and considered food of bar snacks and cold tapas curated by Barrafina and Parrillan’s Chef Director Angel Zapata Martin. It showcases a range of excellent Spanish produce including Andalucian Olives, cold cuts of Chorizo de León and ‘La Retorta’ Cheese.
