Nestled at the base of London's iconic Gherkin building is The Sterling, a relaxing bar that comes complete with bags of style and elegance. The huge windows allow light to flood in and illuminate the impressive furnishings and unique contemporary design that makes The Sterling a hugely popular hangout with City Workers. Their expansive outside terrace boasts breathtaking views of the Gherkin making it ideal to swing by and enjoy a drink or bite to eat during the summer months. The Sterling also comes complete with a mezzanine upstairs which is tailor made for hosting drinks receptions, product launches, board meetings and parties. With two large screens showcasing the big matches, its a haven for sports lovers too.

There's a versatile drinks cabinet - featuring beers, wines and cocktails that reflect the demands of the season - and a plethora of things to eat, with Monkfish Tail and a Rack of Lamb being particular highlights. The iconic location of this bar intertwined with its expansive list of things on the menu make it a strong all-rounder that entices a vibrant crowd.

This is such a good place for outdoor seating, it's pretty 'City' heavy. But good to catch up with mates there after work.

One of my favourite bars in the city, stunning views of the gherkin, relaxed vibe, good service and well priced drinks. Recommend. (Make sure you have your city swagger on!)
