Marianne and the team did a fantastic job of organising our Hen party. The venue is very funky and cool and having use of the library room made it so easy to have a private dining experience. The gin barrels and Pink lemonade punch bowls were a hit, along with the tasty canapes. The staff were friendly, attentive and we received excellent customer service throughout our evening. Would high recommend this venue for any event. visited Alice House Queen's Park on 04 Mar 2017

Great afternoon, staff was very chilled about it all and very helpful too. We had a lovely area booked for us, by the window. They didn't mind us staying in the area for a lot longer than we had originally planned and also didn't mind my friends putting up a few decorations for Baby Shower. Highly recommend it!! visited Alice House Queen's Park on 11 Mar 2017

Hi, We had a good time and the staff were helping but there were a few negatives. Firstly when I made the booking I was informed that we had the library. This was very important to us as there were 7 babies present which I told you at the time of the booking. A contained space was essential for us. When we arrived another party was in the library and we had been moved to the bar area. I was never informed of this change. The new location made it a lot trickier with the babies. I was also told that there would be high chairs allocated. On the day this did not happen. There were only 3 or 4 high chairs available which we had to share. Finally the food was very tasty but some - namely the hake dish were served cold. Best, Jayne visited Alice House Queen's Park on 13 Nov 2016

Hi there - thanks for leaving us your feedback. We're glad you had a nice time but I am saddened to hear of the mix up with the tables and food. Unfortunately our high chairs are allocated on a first come first serve basis which has now been made clear in our booking policy thanks to your comments. With regards to the food, this is certainly not the usual high standard we expect so please get in touch with us at qp@alicehouse.co.uk - we'd love to invite you back to try our new spring menu and show you what we're all about. The team and staff were so helpful both in the lead-up to my party and on the night. My boyfriend and his sister had surprised me by decking the area out with balloons and they couldn't speak highly enough about how accommodating the team was. Thanks for making it a really memorable evening. I've already recommended it to a friend looking to hire a party space for his fiancee's birthday, Xenia visited Alice House Queen's Park on 28 Oct 2016

Lovely food, tasty cocktails and the the best service I've experienced at a restaurant in a long time - warm, helpful, very attentive but not pushy/annoying. Great venue and conveniently located across the road from Queen's Park station. Would definitely recommend. divinecurio visited Alice House Queen's Park on 07 Nov 2016

Food was very poor unfortunately. Not much flavour to steak that we ordered and chips tasted like oven chips. visited Alice House Queen's Park on 11 Nov 2016

Very enjoyable evening although there was room for improvement. The wait for the food was a bit long and the fish and chips were not warm enough. That being said, the service was brilliant. Our server was really friendly and attentive and the ambience was brilliant. We will definitely be back. Piedad visited Alice House Queen's Park on 16 Mar 2017

Yeah gotta say I love the atmosphere, very chilled cool people. All the staff were really polite (and not that fake polite costumer service 101 stuff ) It all felt genuine. Definitely a place you can go to with your girlfriend or your mates. My only thing was the food took a little long to come out but it was well worth the wait. defo will go again visited Alice House Queen's Park on 16 Mar 2017

We booked for a party of 15 to 20 for brunch on a Sunday morning and reserved space in the area known as The Library. The booking process and communications beforehand went very smoothly. On the day, the room was arranged for us and clearly labelled. The service we had throughout the morning was friendly, unflustered and efficient. We very much felt that we were being looked after by all the staff. Our guests all commented favourably on the food which was served – everybody enjoyed it (we ate mainly from the breakfast menu). So altogether a very good experience visited Alice House Queen's Park on 19 Mar 2017

I hired The Library room for a work social event I was hosting. It was a Pub Quiz for around 35 people, and it was a perfect size and had lots of great tech we could have used. Staff are very friendly and happy to help with any requests. Overall, can definitely recommend for a similar event to others.

Great place to host a party. Very friendly and helpful staff, before the event and then loaned me Sellotape and scissors when I'd forgotten them on the night. Flexible about when the food came out to make sure it stayed hot - all was demolished so it was very well received! The library is a cool space - close enough to the main bar to have a buzz but still meant that we had plenty of space for our guests. Only gripe was that we had our own music plugged in but couldn't hear it over the DJ which we didn't love. Sophferocious visited Alice House Queen's Park on 16 Jan 2016

friendliest staff in the booking process and on the night, extremely helpful with all of our requests (and we were a party of 36). My only constructive point would be that the music was pretty shocking. We were hoping to party and i kept asking what time the bar was open until thinking we would be there late, and then by 12 we unfortunately lost our mojo as the music wasn't really dance worthy or current. Happy to have a mix of the oldies but wigfield saturday night on its own wasn't much of a party starter. would go again if music improved. everything else, including food and drinks was fab! Thanks DMN for sorting at such the last minute :) katielaz visited Alice House Queen's Park on 12 Dec 2015

My friends and I loved the interior decor, perfect to chill out a Sunday roast. Baby welcome, high chair at disposal, space to park the buggy ! But our waitress wasn't friendly enough, she was unsmiling at all, pretty aggressive. gaelleleconte visited Alice House Queen's Park on 01 Nov 2015

Table we booked was not booked even though I'd had a reminder to come. After sometime I cornered what seemed to be the one of two peppole serving in a full up venue and was told after some hesitation it would be 15 minutes at least to waite. Though the people on the table we'd booked had not even ordered yet. WE left... When we have manged to eaten here the food has been quite good but over priced and not a single good bear. If very noisey places full of yuppies is your thing it could be a good bet. nickelliott visited Alice House Queen's Park on 21 Apr 2016

The worse place a had been to. The food was terrible , over priced for a Sunday dinner that was left on the plates. The waitress was very friendly ,perhaps the only good service about that place. Felt really embarrassed for taking my friends over there. The kitchen was due to close 8:30 even know we booked for dinner nobody inform us of that instead they left was looking at the menu when they only have 2 different types of food a available. The people at The Alice House are always very happy to help. The Library Room is perfect for a corporate event, such as ours, where this time round we had a pub quiz. We could use the TV screen to do our rounds. Overall, great venue and great staff. visited Alice House Queen's Park on 19 Oct 2016

I've passed the Alice House on numerous occasions and I made a conscious effort to book for Sunday lunch. The booking was straight forward and the ambiance was lovely and the food was scrumptious too. I can only speak for Sunday, but it was quite busy and I thought they could do with a couple more staff to help in hand and/or someone dealing with seat allocations and providing cutlery instead of having to ask. Other than that, I'll definitely go back again and try their dinner menu. visited Alice House Queen's Park on 09 Oct 2016

Service was really good, attentive and friendly. unfortunately the steak were very tough, a shame as the taste was good. The rest of the food was well made. Best dish the black bream. The monkfish fingers lacked of flavour. Roberto visited Alice House Queen's Park on 11 Jun 2016
