Kanaloa London is a quirky, tiki-inspired bar in the heart of London with beaches and treetops! The bar area of Kanaloa consists of a long black bamboo bar front, surrounded by carved wooden pillars and screens providing discreet alcoves. Once inside the cocktails are not to be missed. Various flamboyant and exotic cocktails mixes make up the menu and there are wines, beers and even champagne for those who fancy something a little different. There is a happy hour Monday- Friday with 50% off many cocktails and beers too so worth getting there early.

Those who want to hit the dance floor to the eclectic music played by Kanaloa Club can head to the club area. Towards the rear is the Treetops area, a rainforest styled retreat with giant palm trees, tropical leaf patterned walls, and rustic wooden planking. Guests can hide away in the branches at the top or sit in the shade of the palms on the beach underneath. Kanaloa is a fun-time bar and club open late all week long and the perfect hideaway for a great London night out. It is also perfect for birthdays or special nights out with some amazing areas available to rope off or hire out.

We went for cocktails on a Tuesday night and we were the only people in there from when we walked in at 7.30 to when we left at 11.30. I would go back but on a weekend or Friday! The drinks are cute and fun and so is the atmosphere. It wasn't as big as I expected or as exciting! The novelty wears off fairly quickly after about an hour. I do recommend it and will be back on a busier night. Visited Kanaloa London on 2017-04-26

Lovely venue, lovely polite staff, great music and amazing atmosphere! We have had the best staff party! Thank you for making it unforgettable Kanaloa team! We will recommend to all our friends! Visited Kanaloa London on 2016-12-04

One star really is too much. No customer service what so ever. The majority of the staff were incompetent and insolent, including the so called 'manager' with the light coloured hair. Had to wait over an hour for our drinks and hardly any of the food advertised on the menu was available. There aren't enough adjectives to adequately describe this dump.

Love Kanaloa- always great fun with the girls. We went on a Thursday night and enjoyed the happy hour cocktails and wine which we stocked up on and lasted the whole night. Fun cheesy music and easy to reserve a table. Def recommend for a fun stress free eve. Visited Kanaloa London on 2014-03-28

been here a few times, had a great night every time. music not great but overall a good night in London. drinks are a lil over priced. food platters are not too bad if you feeling a bit peckish.

I would never recommend going here unless its happy hour, but then move on. I have been in 3 times and never had a wicked night, not when there are so many other places within walking distance than are more affordable, have friendlier staff and and better music.

I was really looking forward to visiting this bar although, I was left rather underwhelmed. In addition we were looked up and down before being aloud entry. We left early and went to anther club that evening.

Visited a few times on a weekend night. The crowd can differ from friday to saturday. Friday being more city workers and saturday younger early 20's. Cocktails are fantastic and worth exploring the menu. The dance floor does get crowded but the music is good.

Just as good service deserves to be rewarded, so particularly bad service deserves to be publicised. People of London, NEVER go to Kanaloa Night Club in Shoe Lane. We had arranged with Design My Night to go there for my 30th birthday. They completely ruined our night by charging us to get in when we had arranged to get in for free (there were 30 of us in our group). Their door staff were rude, inhospitable and continually harassed our group. We arrived at 10:50 and they kept us waiting outside the door until 11:01 when they said that we were late so weren't allowed in for free. They were then rude once we were in the club-throwing girls out claiming that they were too intoxicated (how can a bouncer throw a single girl outside onto the street?!) which they weren't and generally being rough and aggressive. Upon complaint they refused to pay out our door fee and treated our complaint as a joke offering a £100 bar tab instead of the £300 we had had to pay to get in. AVOID THIS PLACE, I cannot stress this enough!

This bar is soooo hit and miss, for some time I stopped coming here after a massive mix up on an area booking I made but somehow was convinced to revisit and it was actually a very good night.

If you like tiki bars, this is one of the best place to escape grey sky of the City. I've been here both for eating, chilling and dancing few times and always had a great fun. Would recommend it to anyone.

Went here last Saturday. Reserved a table for 15 but because of the weather only 10 were able to come got in and was told the first 5 people were free and I had to pay £10 per head so already £50 gone. Staff were so incredibly rude. Got to the table that was meant to hold 15 people and it was a table for 6 at the most. I even have an email confirming it holds 15 as I asked them after reading a bad review. Had to wait 40 mins for someone to take our drink order we asked several times but there was no sense of urgency just rudeness!! This club is not "happily affordable" for a bucket of beer 2small cocktails and 2big cocktails it worked way over £500!! You get a drink that looks reasonable and they charge £15-20 service charge for walking from the bar to the table 2 metres away with drinks! The club was full of stuck up people who walk around like they are better than everyone. The fancy cocktails are the best thing about this club. Just a shame about the rest of the experience! DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB! Rip off!

Went there last Saturday for my mates birthday and bit of a wait at the door although overall experience was good. Didn't have a table so had to stand the whole time... but Music was fine, lots of drinks, and always a fan of the tiki theme.

Friend of mine took me to Kanaloa last night, not bad at all and a nice change from the usual London club scene. Lots of fun drinks and the atmosphere wasn’t too crazy, which I like. All in all, good experience, will probably go back.

Came here last week with a small group of us. Entry was stress free (no annoying door staff) and they even gave us all free leis! The drinks were good value for money and the music was brilliant. The clientele were all suited up due to the location but everyone was down for a good time.

There aren't many places in london where you can get giant cocktails in treasure chests! This place has a fun atmosphere even on a week night, I went out with friends on a thursday and the place was still going at 2am! Kanaloa brings a bit of the west end club feel to the city

Went here on a wednesday night after dinner and drinks...got there about half eleven and it was pretty busy, filled with city types letting loose! The music is pure fun time commercial and there was a good atmosphere with everyone up dancing. We found a nice space to use as a base at the back of the bar which was great to sit and sip on our giant treasure chest cocktail! We stayed till 2ish and there were still people dancing about! Think west end club in the city with a tiki twist....good fun!

Love the tiki theme, really good party music, the stuff that gets you up dancing. Drinks are a bit pricey but the happy hour sort you out.

Went here on a sat night and it was sooooo much fun! Ive been to mahiki too and its a smaller and better version (i think). Not as many rich people here so a more fun time crowd! Drinks are a tad expensive so beware. Great fun tho!
by on November 12th, 2011

Came here on a friday night and had a really fun time!! We hired out an area which was nice to have somewhere to sit. The drinks aren't cheap but I suppose they are going for a Mahiki mark 2 here -- seems less pretentious though. Definitely recommend a night out here if the wallet can stretch to it!
