Carnival Espectacular Edition

Expect sequin clad Samba dancers, agile capoeira performers, burlesque dancers, jugglers, contortionists and costumes that have to be seen to be believed. So whether you’re a veteran Samba dancer or just appreciate the art of a good cocktail there will be something for you at Circo Do Guanabara.

THURSDAY 12th FEBRUARY
London School of Samba Parade & Show

Brighten your Thursday by joining the London School of Samba (from 7pm onwards) on their parade through Covent Garden’s streets making their way to Guanabara. After getting all our pulses racing, DJ Limao will do what he does best mixing mainstream music with that samba.

FRIDAY 13th FEBRUARY
Rhythms of the City

After Thursday’s epic warm up, Friday (the 13th) loses no stamina as we welcome one of the UK’s UK’s premier samba percussion squad, Rhythms of the City. Expect an amazing performance from this 25-strong percussion group and beautifula Brazilian dancers. DJs Matt Mandy and DJ Bruno will make a return performance on the decks promising the hottest in carnival tunes.

SATURDAY 14th FEBRUARY
Bal Masque - Cream of Carnival

Tonight we welcome the champions of Notting Hill Carnival 2014 - Paraiso School of Samba – headline our stage tonight with what promises to be the performance of all performances and will undoubtedly match the energy and vibrancy of the samba parades through the streets of Rio at the same time. Bring it to Rio Paraiso! We also go mysterious on this not-so-Valentine-at-all night as we urge you to don a mask before descending into into this authentic Rio style carnival ball. Carnival masks will be available on admission if you dare!

SUNDAY 15th FEBRUARY
Forro do Guanabara Carnival Edition

Traditional Sunday's Forro do Guanabara bash with a Carnival twist. Carlos André’s Forro Dance class followed by Zeu Azevedo & The Forrodaqui band. Thereafter, DJ Carioca on the decks with the best Brazillian Carnival beats to the early hours of Monday.

MONDAY 16th FEBRUARY
Micareta da Bahia

For those who love a sing-a-long join Guanabara on their ‘Bahia’ night, which sets to channel Brazil’s North Eastern vibes. With performers covering the likes of Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury and Claudia Leite, the music will truly guide the night all the way up to DJ Carioca who will spin the classics, being truly impossible not to dance to.

TUESDAY 17th FEBRUARY
Closing Party Carnaval do Rio

And all too soon it’s the closing night. Here Soh Kem Eh band will provide the best in native Rio spirit with a mix of classic Samba, ‘Marchinhas’ and some other old school anthems. DJ Limao will close with some popular carnival tunes, making this the cheapest ticket to Rio you’ll find anywhere.
