East London Liquor Company Hackney - London Restaurant Review

East London Liquor Company Hackney - London Restaurant Review

Hackney is an absolute trek from my North London home, I’m talking bus journeys, tube changes and doing the breaststroke across Regent’s Canal to get there (okay maybe that last one’s a lie, but it’s very bloody far). Not...

Excellent bar. The drinks selection is great with something to to suit everyone! The draught beer was delicious and although I didn't try one the cocktails looked great! Bar staff were friendly and extremely helpful, reccomend booking a table as there aren't that many! Will definitely return! Chris visited East London Liquor Company on 01 Apr 2016

Although I had the initial impression that it would be pretentious, the bar is wonderful. We were extremely well looked after, and had the pleasure of having three superb drinks. The ELLC gins are excellent, and certainly worth the money, of you are looking for a gin for the drinks cabinet. Curtis visited East London Liquor Company on 14 Feb 2016

This bar is great, nice selection of gins aside from their own. Interesting cocktails and nice staff. It would be nice if they had more food options but still I would definitely go back!!

Lovely place. Great atmosphere and good selection of gins. When looking at their website we all took the 'weekly changing menu' to refer to food and not the cocktail list so we're all hungry only to find that no food was being served, not even the sharing platters. We would have stayed longer if there was some food, even if it was a pop up food place in the car park. As a bar it's definteky worth the visit.

Shame it can get so quiet sometimes (area can be a little hard to get to), but I loved this place. The interiors are on point, and the cocktails are made of tough stuff, not the place for fruity cocktails mind, hard spirit lovers only

Brought my brother and dad here (both spirit enthusiasts) and we really enjoyed ourselves. A bit off the beaten track and more of a quiet, relaxing drink vibe if you're there during the week but, nonetheless, the distillery behind the bar was stunning to look at and the bar staff were more than creative in knocking up some alternative cocktails for me. Definitely a cool bar to check out, even if it is just for one drink.

I've been here a couple of times now, the first time I was really excited to see the space as I live closeby, it was pretty empty and the barman was a bit lacklustre when I asked him about the gin. However we spent New Years here and it was brilliant. Great space and lovely drinks and the service was really good. A shame it wasn't busier though, I'm not sure how many people know about it.
