- Wine Bar
Description
Tucked just off London Fields on Greenwood Road, Binch is a cosy little wine and beer bar that’s got hidden gem written all over it. Set in a blacked-out building with bold gold signage, it’s the kind of place you stumble into and end up staying for hours. Inside, it’s snug and stylish, like exposed bulbs, bentwood stools, and shelves stacked with natural wines and craft beers. There’s space for about 20 people, so it’s intimate, chatty, and always buzzing with locals.
The brainchild of French owner Sylvain Bertozzi, Binch is a love letter to both wine and beer - no need to pick sides here. Expect a rotating list of six wines and six beers on tap, plus a fridge full of cans and bottles from both local and international producers.
They host regular tastings, tap takeovers, and food pop-ups (past guests include Toconoco and Darling’s at Vestry), alongside a blackboard menu of French snacks like croque monsieurs and cheese boards. On weekends, the vibe shifts up a gear with DJs spinning soul, house, and disco until late. It’s walk-ins only, but that’s part of the charm.
