Right next door to the much-loved Lardo in London Fields, Bastardo is the cheeky younger sibling bringing bold wines and 'mighty fine snacks' to the Hackney crowd. It’s got that effortlessly cool East London energy, such as sleek interiors, a buzzing bar, and a big window sign that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The vibe is relaxed but stylish, making it a perfect pre-dinner pit stop or a destination in its own right.

The menu leans into Italian small plates with a twist - expect things like pizza fritti, stracciatella on anchovy toast, and pasta dishes made for sharing. The wine list is where Bastardo really shines: 70 rotating bottles with a strong focus on low-intervention, natural, and skin-contact wines from across Europe, with 20 available by the glass.
