This is the first time I have eaten here since the change in Management. The food was OK ish. Service was pretty poor and slow. To begin with we ordered tonics to drink and were brought gin and tonic. These were taken away and after 10 minutes we had to ask whether the tonics were on their way. When they eventually arrived in bottles we had to ask for glasses to drink from. We then had to chase for the glasses. After we finished our main course we had to eventually ask for the plates to be cleared away and to see the desserts menu. We won't be rushing back in a hurry which is a real shame as the location is fabulous. visited The Old Brewery on 18 Jul 2017

Really great place, full of character, interior was amazing and food was really good too. The service however was slightly dissapointing to begin with as we were told we would be served a few times before someone actually did come to serve us. We were unsure as to why this was happening as the restaurant wasn't busy? However, the servive picked up once the food had been ordered and my friend was given a glas of prosecco as it was his birthday, which was lovely! visited The Old Brewery on 15 Jul 2017

Great venue. 20 guests for my birthday. Only trouble was that I paid my table bill but unknowingly my guest was given another bill from another table by mistake. I was given the refund in order for me to transfer the amount to his account. An unnecessary mistake which was otherwise a nice day. visited The Old Brewery on 08 Jul 2017

Evening meal was good quality and a reasonable price. Service was quick, and staff were polite and friendly. We'd pre-booked a table and it was ready for us, and we weren't rushed away afterwards when we ran over our booking-time. Had drinks from the outside bar eariler in the day, when it was busy, and a few more staff serving would have been appreciated. Also the volume of the live music caused difficuly in hearing staff and with them taking the order correctly. Only other comment is that more toilet facilities and more regular cleaning / re-stocking of them is required. visited The Old Brewery on 02 Jul 2017

Our website reservation wasn't on the bookings list. We waited over an hour to receive 2 out of 4 meals and had to leave before the final 2 meals arrived. The waiting staff were very apologetic and deserve a medal for their efforts, but how management can fail to plan for increased demand during Greenwich Music Time is beyond me. The kitchen clearly could not cope. Shame because it's a lovely venue and location. visited The Old Brewery on 30 Jun 2017

Went there for Father's day. What a huge disappoint the food was. My granddaughter had a burger, one bite and left it but the worse was the roast dinner. It was tasteless and roast potatoes so hard were inedible. I have booked at the end of June but that will be cancelled. visited The Old Brewery on 18 Jun 2017

Service could have been better: The waitress spilt a 1/2 pink of lemonade over me - not a major problem but barely apologised. The manager was good to clean up and apologise but both the waitresses that served us were borderline polite. Food: We had a roast and the Yorkshire puds were cold - when one of the party asked for it to be heated we were informed they are served cold.... new one on me! also made us wonder if they were frozen rather than made on site. The sticky toffee pudding was barely warm, the cheese board was great and they certainly didn't skimp on the cheese! When you have the Sail Loft and Cutty Sark as your competition for food The Brewery has a lot of work to do to be a place for locals.... Sure they will be fine with tourists as location is good. visited The Old Brewery on 04 Jun 2017

I visited The Old Brewery for lunch with 3 other people hoping for a special experience as it was my brother in laws birthday . We were very disappointed The meal was average and took a long time to arrive .and there seemed to be little atmosphere in the restaurant . My husband and I booked the Old Brewery last Sunday for a celebratory lunch for 16 people... and they couldn't have been more helpful! There was plenty of space for us (even though we had several buggies) and the Sunday lunch was delivered quickly and was absolutely delicious!! The dining room itself had recently been refurbished, and it was perfect for our large party - it's beautifully decorated, with high ceilings and windows, which made the whole room feel light and airy. That said, it would also be perfect for smaller groups. A really lovely lunch all round - thank you! visited The Old Brewery on 07 May 2017

Pretty disappointing, average, not very exciting lunch menu. Had hoped for a better menu and more care taken with the food. The service was fine though and staff were friendly and attentive, if not a little haphazard in their approach at times. One gripe: the pub toilets backed onto a side entrance to the building and were being used as public toilets by half of Greenwich (Easter bank holiday Saturday). While I'm no fan of overly-militant pubs not letting people use their facilities, the length of the queue was farcical, especially considering most people weren't actually pub customers. The advice we got from the staff was to try the actual public toilets in the adjoining museum! visited The Old Brewery on 15 Apr 2017

Food was lovely, staff were very pleasant and helpful. We did feel sorry for the staff having to constantly deal with a stream of non cafe traffic, for the toilets! Maybe a sign is required to direct non cafe people to the museum toilets as patrons who needed the toilet would have to queue for long periods of time behind visitors for the museum only! visited The Old Brewery on 15 Apr 2017

It was abit chaotic, I booked a table for lunch 115pm and arrived there @ 130pm. I wasn't greeted, then I saw my name on the table so I walked there myself. And after we ordered our food (two of us) - just the Sunday roasts on the menu, I spent 45mins waiting for the food, I checked with the waitresses twice but they were ignoring me .... the food was ok but only if you have all the time in the world - and not to mention that they didn't' compensate us, in anyway - not even a coffee or ANYTHING. I would avoid to eat there again ..... visited The Old Brewery on 09 Apr 2017

Probably the most stressful Sunday lunch ever. 45 minute wait for the food. Wrong chips with the burgers. No horseradish for the roast beef. Very small portions of veg with the roasts. Wrong wine on the bill. On the good side we were given a 20% discount on the food and the wine was taken off the bill - but would have preferred there to be no stress. Not sure we will return although the restaurant itself is very nice and the Manager was very apologetic visited The Old Brewery on 09 Apr 2017

Very slow service, waited 30 mins just to receive drinks. And up to an hour just for starters, which wasn't great. Ordered bread for the kids to have with starters but arrived, once the starters had been cleared away. Ordered kids burgers without mayo and cheese and all come with, therefore kids could only eat the actual burger and not bun. Side orders for the main arrived overcooked and burnt, plus arrived after we had finished the main course. Forgot drink orders and also had to ask twice for coffees with desert. Food was fine but service was very slow and clumsy. Disappointed as we had guests from Australia and Switzerland. There were no table waiters in the restaurant at all for the first 20 minutes after our arrival and we were only brought menus after going to the bar and waiting in line for quite some time. Champagne glasses dropped and smashed while serving, one order was forgotten completely and the bill was incorrect. We've been many times before for lunch and dinner and while service is always rustic this was a particularly poor experience. As a minimum more staff are required for brunch service. visited The Old Brewery on 29 Dec 2016

Atmosphere, service, drink and surroundings were very good, but the food was average. We were a group of 35, so would be different if going as couples or smaller groups. visited The Old Brewery on 09 Dec 2016

Thank you to all the staff for making our event a huge success. We had a great night and could not fault our experience. The food was amazing as was the customer service. I have had feedback from the team who were just as impressed as me. I can't wait to dine here again. visited The Old Brewery on 09 Dec 2016

Service was a bit slow between courses, and it didn't appear to be that busy. Really friendly staff. visited The Old Brewery on 09 Dec 2016

Had a lovely festive lunch. Food was delicious and lots of it. More expensive than other Christmas menus but worth it for the quality. visited The Old Brewery on 08 Dec 2016

Good night thank you. Good food and great table in the bar area. 13 people enjoyed their evening. We were going to go out in Greenwich after our meal but enjoyed it so much where we were that we stayed at the Old Brewery all evening. Thanks M visited The Old Brewery on 07 Dec 2016

Disappointing ! We were the only people in the restaurant at 9 pm on Thurs. 1st of december. At just after 10pm the plates were hastily cleared from the others in the party and while I was still on my main, we were asked to order desserts. Then told we couldn't because the kitchen was closed. There were about 8 staff sitting around a table all the while chatting. I won't be returning. visited The Old Brewery on 01 Dec 2016

Sadly had to send my ordered salad away due to the very long wait. We had an event to get to, checked the order could be done in time- we were told it could be done in twenty minutes. After forty minutes, I had to leave and cancel my salad. Staff were very good, just not enough on duty. visited The Old Brewery on 21 Oct 2016

We had a table for 7 at 17.45hrs prior to a concert. We ordered quickly. About 15 minutes later we were told to order again from the correct menus. Our food did not arrive until 18.45. Chips were cold. One guest had burnt, overcooked crab cakes as a main course that were dry and tasteless. She complained and quickly ordered a side of broccoli. It finally arrived So crunchy that it was almost raw. We had to get cutlery and a napkin from another table. Service was bad, the rest of the food was OK but not brilliant. It ruined my evening frankly which was a shame because the building is interesting, in a great location. The manager seriously needs to address staff and chef. NB Manager did not charge for the main course , broccoli nor service, but as I said, evening ruined. A waste of time and money. visited The Old Brewery on 21 Oct 2016

We were happy with our overall dining experience however the service was slow. It was certainly friendly, polite and pleasant but we had to wait a while for the courses to arrive. For the smoked salmon starter, my preference would have been for the sourdough bread to have been slightly toasted as it needed the contrast in textures. The beef Carpaccio went down a treat with our group of dining companions. With the main - the flavours of the pork steak dish were delicious. Desserts were a hit with everyone! insideout visited The Old Brewery on 06 Sep 2016

Great food, drinks and place except fish cakes were way too salty. The salted caramel ice cream tasted like sea water. Cut down on the salt for a super experience!
