Experienced mixologists serve delicious libations. Would recommend

We went to Below the Cut last night, and Charlie and his cocktails exceeded our expectations. It's quite a new bar, and they don't yet have a printed menu, so Charlie took the time to chat with us and explain his concept and drinks: it was a delight to see someone so passionate. We ordered a few rounds, sometimes just giving Charlie an idea of what we might want, and he repeatedly brought us perfect drinks. It's very rare that cocktails aren't too sickly sweet, and genuinely taste of what they say they are- but that is certainly achieved here. The Gin with chilli & cucumber was a great starter, and we later finished off with some dessert drinks: lemon cheesecake and another with ice cream and chocolate shavings which were both divine (and I do not have a sweet tooth). Charlie & his team really made an effort with us, and moreover they have the drinks to back it up. Definitely give it a try. Visited Below The Cut on 2017-03-17
