Shochu Lounge

Description

The Schochu Lounge in the heart of Soho, is a subterranean Japanese lounge bar underneath the award-winning restaurant Roka. Taking its name from the 14th century drink Schochu, it is the most popular spirit in Japan, yet remains relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Made from barley, sweet potato or rice, this is just one of the many remarkable drinks on offer.

With innovative, forward-thinking cocktails, they are drinks specialists, fusing a range of interesting ingredients together to make truly one-of-a kind concoctions. Try such curiously named drinks as 'ki lazubeli shu' (helps improve memory) or 'jasmine flower shu' (for coughs and sore eyes) that are marketed as health tonics.

If you're feeling hungry however, the full menu of trendy Roka is also available for you to select from, so whether you're looking for a few after work drinks or even a meal, The Shochu Lounge is a great place to choose.
