Went to the Opal in September with some friends from Amsterdam. I had a great time. Discovered the downstairs and it was so much cooler then upstairs. Unfortunately due to it being a busy night the bar staff were too busy to miss that their mixers were flat or the gas needed changing, I had to work extra hard to get a new drink from a female member of staff. I may be back again but not for a while as there are so many other bars I'd like to try.

good fun for Halloween, drinks reasonably priced for the area and good location for easily getting home if you live SW.

Opal is a classic tourist trap. Very bland Samey place with no real coolness about it. Very cheesy cliche music with expensive drinks. It wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

This place should be shut down!!!! Leaving party for a friend - around 30 of us, happy hour 5pm-8pm cheap drinks but bar staff didn't know half of the cocktails. After 8pm the staff start pouring your drinks into plastic cups when your not looking and even tipping your drinks away without explanation. Staff become rude and a friend got kicked out for no reason. Security are horrible shouting and swearing at people, not nice at all, we all left and went to all bar one up the road! Horrible place I would avoid at all costs!!!

Went here for my birthday in April. There was a mixup with my table, which was annoying, but the overall experience was fun. Great music, but not a lot of room to dance.

Very unfriendly venue. Was overcharged for a party package and made to wait for entry for half an hour even after arriving on time. *comment moderated* ID is confiscated on entry and security guards keep it in their pockets until you leave! Would not recommend.

If we go out for drinks after work we usually head here for the happy hour. Its a cool bar. The cocktails are great and really cheap for that part of London.

Came across this place last weekend. I really liked it. Chilled and mental crazy at the same time. I was there on Friday and it was great all night. They needed more staff but they were clearly doing the best they could. Stayed for hours, drinks, food (fried stuff but filled the spot) and managed to even get them to organise me a cab as I missed the tube :-) back again after pay day

Ok so its not exactly one of the best clubs in London but its a great location right by the river, and is the sort of place that a group can go to and just party, get drinks easily, and have no issues with getting in or a space. Its fun!
