As usual it was lovely but I must say I am not happy when they put service charge on the bill as this is meant to be discretionary and it was for a lunch time meal as well. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 02 Aug 2017

Food wasn't as good as last time i came which was disappointing and as it was so quiet it was hard to get attention of the waiting staff for things like drink refills, salt or the bill. But was still enjoyable for a lunch time meal. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 10 May 2017

The food was excellent, I took off a star because I had to check about the offer we had, as it wasn't explained. I would definitely come here again, it has a nice atmosphere and is not too noisy for a midweek lunch, when you want to chat. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 03 May 2017

Dear Abigail, I was promised a voucher from your head office but it never arrived. It was only the fact that we use the Tudor Street venue a lot that the manager gave us the free bottle of sparkling wine and the free meal. Please can you make sure that next year I receive the voucher. Kind regards, Cathy Munday visited Jamies Tudor Street on 23 Mar 2017

Pretty poor. Have been going to Jamies for many years, even organising two Christmas parties there. Arranged my own leaving drinks, wasn't allowed to book the upstairs room 'as it was closed' but no reason why; ordered the Oriental platter at £70 which was mostly prawn crackers and believe it or not PORK PIE pieces - I think I got the leftovers. Certainly wasn't worth £70. Needless to say won't be booking anything there again. No special treatment at all, despite the fact that I've been a customer since before the current manager started there - in fact, the reverse! Horrified. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 19 Jan 2017

The staff were really great. The food, however, was not. We were charged £29.95 for the Christmas menu. For this, you'd expect a decent meal even if we did have a big party of 9. The starters were very basic. The prawns were very plain and came with three slices of extremely thin and terrible-quality bread. In the menu, they were described as: King prawns, garlic butter with warm crusty bread (gluten-free bread available). But the butter came from a packet and did not contain garlic and the bread was definitely not warm. The rest were ok and were probably the most acceptable part of the entire meal. The mains were atrocious. Most of us had turkey and the plates were cold. The vegetables were all raw. I couldn't even get my fork through the parsnips. The cod, which two of my friends had, was inedible and both people, who are not fussy eaters in the slightest, couldn't eat any of their food. The desserts were a cherry on top of a dire meal. Two of my friends had Christmas pudding which looked like a flat raisin pancake when it was served. In the menu, it said it came with brandy cream when in fact it came with just plain double cream. I had the peaches. In the menu, they were described as: Honey-roasted peach with clotted cream topped with salted caramel sauce. In reality: the peaches were straight from a tin. I knew that because there was still the juice from the tin on my dish. They were definitely not honey roasted because they were cold and did not taste of honey at all. These were then drizzled with a basic caramel tasting sauce which had mixed with the juice from the peach tin to create an awful half zesty half creamy mixture. I can only say they we were really disappointed. We'd organised this meal as a nice outing for our department and it was a disaster. The staff treated us very well - we were given prosecco and discount off the bill, but the food was some of the worst I have ever been served. And for £30... I mean, the term rip off wouldn't even cover it. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 14 Dec 2016

The service was good and quick. The staff were very friendly so we felt relaxed. Most of us had burgers. One of our party requested that her chicken should not be over-cooked which was cooked as she requested. However, all the beefburgers were still pink so we assure that this request was applied to our whole order. We have had burgers there before and they usually taste great. visited Jamies Tudor Street on 19 Oct 2016
