Brewer's Bar

Description

The Brewer's Bar take over 77 Shacklewell Lane, a plot in East that's as old as time itself. Formerly the location of a Victorian Butchers, the bar still retains a number of characteristics hinting at its illustrious past.

History flows through this bar like the Nile in Egypt. The owners has kept hold of the original gold and red sign above the venue, an image that's become intrinsic with the area's local heritage. Inside the venue, although the entire joint has been refurbished, it's retained the butcher's original marble counters and ironwork pillar. Clearing up the cobwebs, salvaged vintage tiles now line the walls, bringing the place to life with splashes of deep blue and purple. And completing the transformation, rustic church pews slide nicely between a new machinist' chairs, acting as a constant reminder of the bar's never-ending infatuation with history and tradition.

Showcasing a number of locally sources craft beers and ales is another aspects of the bar's mission statement. From IPA Mosaic Chinook to Nelson Sauvin Saison, the quirky creations of Britain's best brewers and beer connoisseurs are all available to sample. To ensure the night doesn't end early, a range of exquisite tapas dishes, created by the chefs at Brindisa, and small plates are available to order from the bar. Sit back, relax and unwind at this endearing, heritage-soaked spot.
