I booked Henry's in Covent Garden for my retirement function. I initially wanted the downstairs area but unfortunately it was already booked. Gabriela the events manager offered a suitable alternative and could not have been any more accommodating. She was able to cater to requests for elderly guests and received floral deliveries which were concealed until required. I ordered buffet food which came out as arranged and was enjoyed by my guests. A fantastic evening made stress free by Gabriela and the staff at Henry's. durannie1 visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 29 Sep 2016

I really enjoyed myself at Henry's. I hired downstairs for an event and location was just perfect. The staff are so nice and friendly, always willing to help! Planning to go back again next month :) reniikay visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 16 Sep 2016

I booked the downstairs space for a craft activity and afternoon tea afterwards. Gabriella was very helpful throughout the whole process during booking but unfortunately on the day she was not there and although the staff were helpful when asked, they did not preempt anything. Therefore, no one was asked if they would like drinks etc on arrival and once we sat down for the afternoon tea, we had to serve ourselves the tea from an urn, no milk was left out - the sandwiches were hard and we also had to open the bottles of procesco ourselves and then ask for more glasses. I feel that with more attention to detail and someone on hand to serve guests it could be a very nice venue, but as it was, although we all had a great time with the crafts, we were very much left to get on with it. debee visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 27 Aug 2016

I booked a cocktail making class and dinner for my daughters 18th. Dean - the bar man was very good, he was friendly and chatty and made us feel happy and relaxed. I wasn't really sure what to expect from the experience as I've never done a cocktail making class before, I was surprised that we would do it at the bar, luckily it was downstairs out of the way but it was still very busy. Poor guy had to constantly explain to other customers - very politely - that he was working with us, maybe some sort of notice could go up on the bar? We all throughly enjoyed our time there and the cocktails were fantastic!! One guest had mocktails and was well looked after and she said it was an amazing experience! My daughter really enjoyed herself and was confident and relaxed with Dean's encouragement - which did wonders for her self esteem and anxiety! Afterwards we were seated quickly for dinner, which we all enjoyed. My only criticism was that the waitress kept serving us from one side of the table instead of walking around to each of us - there was plenty of space to do this. All in, it was a very enjoyable night at a great inclusive price. I would definitely book again! Thank you so much 😃 Helen ʚϊɞ visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 25 Jun 2016

I booked the private room for a hen do so we could do a craft activity. The space was great although quite warm as there was no ventilation/windows. The staff didn't come and check on us or offer us drinks once but I was pleased that we hired the space for free. The staff weren't 100% sure on allergies were delivering the food when I asked if there was any nuts or prawns they said no - only to find prawns hidden under some other food on one of the platters. Could have been better but overall ok.

Been 2 eat in Henrys, Covent Garden several times before, & booked Saturdays visit on the strength of that. Unfortunately was disappointed. Thought the new menu was a little limited as 2 what we have known before, but food was ok, and the serving staff were very pleasant & efficient. The thing was though, we had 2 more or less shout 2 each other across table in conversation, as the music was SO loud! Now we not against music, but comments were passed as to where is Henrys going?, a "fun bar" or a restaurant? Before when we have visited they managed 2 do both, but must admit this will put us off probably booking again? Bit of a let down Henry's. We visited Henry's early Saturday evening. The wine wine was on the warm side so asked for a glass of ice to put in the wine- this arrived in a warm glass The chips were chewy - I'm talking pre cooked but not re crisped! The toilet we were pointed to was the disabled/baby change room - the bin was overflowing with dirty nappies. On the whole an awful experience. Sorry Henry's, there's too much competition around would not plan another visit. Jillybuck1 visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 23 Apr 2016

I booked an area for Henry's for drinks with colleagues. I pre-ordered both food and drinks. Overall, our experience was poor for the following reasons: 1. Our area was not cleared - we had to move other customers. 2. The tables were not cleaned. 3. The pre-ordered drinks were not present, and staff also knew nothing about these. Eventually we gave up and opened a tab. 4. The food was ordered to arrive at 8:45. We checked this a couple of times, and at 9pm we were finally told that there had been a problem and the food would arrive in 20-25 minutes. The staff were polite and offered the food for free, but it was very disappointing to only be told this at 9pm. I can think of no good reason why we shouldn't have been made aware of this earlier. The food eventually arrived at 9:40. Overall our experience was very poor – appreciate that the bar was very busy, but the preparation for our booking and the food order were well below expectations. The staff were polite and offering the food for free was a good gesture, but this didn’t outweigh the poor service. I wouldn’t recommend Henry’s and won’t be coming back.

Food was delicious and was a good meal overall. Music could've been slightly louder to add some atmosphere. Service wasn't great - waitress wasn't able to answer questions about simple questions about the food, nor did she know what rosè wines were offered. After paying the bill, no change was brought over to our table. The waitress reluctantly asked "do you want your change?" a good 5 or 10 minutes later and only as we gave her a puzzled look from the table. Found this rather bad as some people may be pressured into saying no and leaving a tip. It also didn't benefit her, as we may have left more had she not kept the £4 change from the bill. Hi, I booked Henry's Covent Garden for new years eve to treat my family,my brother, sister in law and their three kids. We come to London about twice a year and for the last 5 years always choose Henry,s. We had a table for 9 and After telling my brother how good it normally is ordered our meal. To my surprise 3 of the burger meals were cold. Prior to realising each of us had put the BBQ sauce etc onto the salad. We sent the meals back and when they came back I was astonished that they had been re heated and more concerning had tried to hide the fact by either toating or putting the top of the roll in the oven to make it crispy. This is the first time we had treated the family at Henry's and it was upsetting particular on new years eve. I spoke to the manager and she was very apologetic, took the 3 meals off the bill and explained it was unacceptable. I would also say that the young Italian student waitress was excellent throughout and continually apologised and refused to comment on pointing any blame stating it is a team responsibility. A real pity when we have had many great nights in that venue. Tom hny visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 31 Dec 2015

I booked a table for 9 to have our Christmas dinner at Henry's as I had been to another branch before and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately on this occassion my expectations were utterly let down by the quality of the food. The majority of our group had ordered the turkey as a main course (of a three course menu) and all found that the turkey meat was extremely tough to both cut and chew! The cutlery provided to us was not sufficient in cutting through the meat and overall the taste was a big disappointment. Everything more or less was dry with barely any flavour. For a well known restaurant such as Henry's with its reputation and location in the heart of Covent Garden, we expected much more. Especially considering the fact that the price was approxiately £40 per head. Had I known the food was going to be that quality I would have much rather eaten at KFC! The Dessert was probably the only thing that was average. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can't say I will be visiting again any time soon. ukeat visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 21 Dec 2015

My German relatives loved the delicious food, cocktails, decor and music. They were particularly impressed with friendly service. I was particularly happy that I had a separate gluten free menu. mlg visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 30 Oct 2015

I've been to Henry's Covent Garden previously and had a wonderful time. The food is always great and great prices, with a very lively atmosphere. The only thing that let the visit down this time was the service. Firstly the waitress forgot our drinks order despite confirming it twice before walking away. Then she can back to the table and asked if we wanted anything else. Twice I asked for some salt and pepper and she just nodded and walked off. We then we're waiting over half an hour to pay the bill. Otherwise this is usually a fantastic place to eat though.

I was really disappointed - I've been coming to Henry's for years so thought it would be a great place to start our evening, but wish we'd gone somewhere else. It was absolutely packed, which is pretty normal, so that wasn't an issue. We had the room under the stairs, which would have been brilliant if there had been any music on to give it some atmosphere. Instead we just had the screams of the rugby fans to listen to. And to make it worse, they clearly had some serious issues with the heating so it was unbearably hot. And I had preordered 2 bottles of bubbles but the rude staff behind the bar didn't know anything about it and were more interested in talking to each other than sort something out. Won't be heading back to Henry's any time soon! rebeccada visited Henry's Cafe and Bar Covent Garden on 10 Oct 2015

We were disappointed. The service was good and the food OK. I booked especially because there was to be a swing night of live music. Unfortunately that was not what we got. Instead it was a singer belting out modernish hits. Not impressed.

A pleasant find the other day when with family in Covent Garden. Its pretty modern and a really clean and airy design, serves some good European and American dishes and a fairly good wine list to choose from. Very good choice in the hecticness of Covent Garden.
