The King of Ladies is the sister venue to The Breakfast Club's Clapham site, situated on Battersea Rise in South London.

The cocktail bar and lounge pad pays tribute to a 1970's bachelor pad and draws owes its name to a famous line in the iconic US sitcom 'Cheers'. The bar serves premium beer and craft beer as well as 70's themed cocktails.

Expect to see Pina Coladas, Tequilla Sunrises and an Old Fashioned with a modern twist. It would not be a true 1970's bachelor pad without retro bar snacks, and The King of Ladies Man serve an amazing roster of American styled grilled cheese.

This venue serves Bar Snacks and American food.

A word from the chef:
Cheese is the name of the game at The King of Ladies Man; expect Mac n' Cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches and cheesy Tapas dishes. They also do some other less cheesy options with smoked haddock Fritters, grilled corn on the cob and watermelon salad on offer. Not your average bar snacks.

A super fun, easy going bar. I'll definitely be going back! Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2018-01-05

We visited The King of Ladies man for the 1st time just before Christmas for a girls night out... None of us had been before but the reviews and pics looked good. When I contacted them to book an area, the response was witty and punctual - 2 of my favourite things when trying to plan a night out, especially at an unknown venue. When we got there I was a little surprised by how small the place was but that did give it the feel of being our very own hidden spot. The bar staff were absolutely excellent, can't fault them. Fun, friendly, super efficient, they really helped make the evening special (thanks). Having access to the food menu from the Breakfast club next door was a bonus and very enjoyable. ... I must not forget to mention the music! WOW! We loved it! Old skool classics all the way. Overall I would say if you are looking for a cool, unpretentious, well run, bijou spot with cocktails, grub and choons; stop the clock!... You just found it! My first time at the Breakfast Club (Clapham) and it was a disappointing one. Booked a table for 7 for brunch to celebrate my 30th Birthday, it turned into a bit of a shambles from start to finish. We were shown to a grubby table which we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Our drinks took 40 minutes to arrive ( 1 bottle of prosecco, 2 teas, a juice and a coke) and then the food order got mixed up which meant all the food came out at different times, even when some members of our party had already finished. The waiter explained that the kitchen staff were having an argument, Something which should not have been said to us, quite unprofessional. Overall this place was really badly managed;there was only one waiter manning the whole area of The King of Ladies Man where as the main Breakfast Club restaurant had many staff members wondering around. When searching for cutlery, which had failed to come with our food, I found a group of staff members having a chat behind the bar. We were offered an insulting minimal discount considering the whole Birthday meal had been ruined, the on duty manager did not handle the mess up well at all. Hope no one else has a special occasion ruined. Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-11-25

The bar tender was very lovely. The bar was nice but there just weren't many people there. It isn't a secret bar either. I thought you had to walk through a laundrette to find it but you just walk through a bar into a really small room. There just wasn't any atmosphere and we were the only people there Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-09-29

Had a really enjoyable couple of hours sat in the sun outside TKoLM on Saturday afternoon. Great cocktails and disco fries - and a super smashing bartender to keep us topped-up merrily! Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-08-05

Went to The King of Ladies Man for cocktails for a 40th birthday and it was amazing! The staff were really friendly, very knowledgeable and couldn't be more helpful. Cocktails were excellent but the real star is the actual bar with its funky 70's theme and brilliant drinks menu's. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it. I booked via DesignMyNight for brunch on a Sunday and was in correspondence with the premise as well however when I arrived for my booking I was told they were closed and could not brunch in King of Ladies Man. The hours are wrong on this and everyone should realize that if you book for a Sunday brunch you will not be accommodated there. We were able to dine at The Breakfast Club but not location we were hoping for.

It was very different to the usual places I went to. It was a little tricky to locate it as the doors were pulled back and could not find the sign. But this was minor. The drinks were ok and my bill at the end was reasonable Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-05-20

Kitchen had no gas supply so only nachos avail. Would have been better for someone to have let us know about that before we arrived- send an email or text as we were planning to eat there. Bar was ok but nothing special. Bar staff seemed very lax. Wouldn't bother going back. Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-03-31

Very friendly service, the young man actually made us laugh which was different! The pancakes were awesome and the salted caramel shake was nothing like I had tasted before! The bar was very quirky and met my expectations! Didn't get to see the speakeasy bar as they only start using that at 5pm, a perfect excuse to go back for more pancakes!! Very easy to get to from Clapham Junction Station and within walking distance! An uber only cost £5 so if you're lazy it's cheap! Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-03-18

I rarely ever leave reviews, but I have to say that Claire and her team did an excellent job making us feel at home. They accommodated all my requests and all my family thoroughly enjoyed the private party! Big thank you again! And definitely recommended. x Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-03-03

I had a fantastic time. The team gave me the launderette in which to host my 40th birthday gathering, and it didn't disappoint. The attention to detail, the ludicrously named drinks (featuring a dedicated and intentive Colada menu), and accommodating service meant that me and my guests had a fantastic time and the venue gained itself around 30 new devotees. When a tastefully erotic cocktail menu makes space for Tom Selleck (circa Magnum PI), you know you've struck gold lamé. Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2017-01-14

Excellently designed bar with friendly (but also unorganised) staff with great food. It would be 4 out of 5 despite the lack of organisation because the friendliness makes up for this but I booked an area for 22 and was restricted to an area more suitable for 12 as there was another larger booking. We couldn't fit in the area allocated so had to spill out slightly and had to use the bar which was located in the area of the larger party. This lead to the other party arguing with us to get out of their area even though we had no other option. The other party had a lot more space per person ratio but they were told that they had this area to themselves so they insisted on it and were extremely rude about it - not the staffs' problem but extremely badly managed by them. There were several other better options for designating the areas that would give all parties direct access to the bar and toilets without having to walk through each other's areas and being abused. Great venue but the service wasn't as great. There was a group that was at the bar and obviously known to the bar staff so were served before anyone else waiting. Very annoying! Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2016-10-29

Not so good night I'm afraid! We booked a table which was saved for us no problem. When we went to the bar we had to wait for around 30 mins before being served. The bar isn't big and was not at all busy, it seemed like we were being ignored. There were some people who were friends of the bar staff (or maybe other staff) who were being served as and when they wanted so we had to wait. Eventually we managed to order drinks, then some of the cocktail ingredients ran out (it was only around 9.30pm). The person who served us stopped midway through making our drinks to have shots with her friends which was a little frustrating as we had already been waiting so long. Another staff member finished our order for us and kindly gave us the drinks on the house, which we really appreciated considering it had been about a 40 minute wait by then. We left after that. Could've just been one-off but won't be returning. Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2016-10-29

Services was friendly but a bit slow with the coffees. If you buy juice, smoothies or anything cold ask for without ice. No one realises we don't live in the tropics and don't need to be cooled down. Food was really good but veggie burrito was disappointing. Overall very good! Visited The King of Ladies Man on 2016-10-09

Hot date with the King last night and what a date it was. Although the secret entrance is not so secret (would be better if the inner door was closed so the place is a real surprise), when the curtains are closed & the Breakfast Club has shut up shop you.feel pretty lucky to be inside. Awesome music for this child of the 80's.
