Description
A sultry, retro‑futurist listening bar in Farringdon, Space Talk is built to be heard as much as seen. Walnut panelling, a sweeping chrome‑trimmed counter and soft, adaptive lighting wrap the room in ’70s-lounge warmth, while discreet acoustic walls and a sunken vinyl booth feed a bespoke sound system that keeps conversation crisp and every record gloriously rich. The space flows in zones - from a designer‑furnished front room to a cocooned back lounge - so you can slip from aperitif to after‑hours without leaving the vibe.
On the menu, house signatures lean textural and aromatic (think saffron‑ginger citrus or fig‑leaf, vermouth and a flicker of pet‑nat), balanced by elegant no‑ and low‑alcohol builds, curated picks of wine and sake, and polished Japanese‑leaning bites like sushi and small plates. The ethos comes straight from the top: founder Ramzi Abouchalache conceived Space Talk as a hi‑fi bar where music curation leads the night and hospitality stays personal - helped by a subtle “phones‑down” culture that keeps attention on the moment. The design is getting noticed, too: the interior by EBBA Architects and Studio Charlotte Taylor was been longlisted in the 2025 Dezeen Awards, underscoring its meticulous, sound‑first approach.
