Introducing Rose
Nestled in the heart of Provence, approximately twenty-five
kilometres northeast of Saint-Tropez, Château d'Esclans occupies
one of the region's most spectacular sites.
The estate sits on elevated
land near the dramatic Gorges de Pennafort, where ancient Gaulish
settlements once used the location as a strategic surveillance
point overlooking the Gulf of Fréjus.
The
château was formerly a residence of the Counts of Provence and was
later owned by Jacques Auxile Verrion, War Commissioner of Louis
XV, who became Count of Esclans under Charles X
What
sets Château d'Esclans apart from other Provence producers is its
extraordinary terroir. The estate boasts some of the
oldest Grenache vines in
the world, with certain vineyards featuring 100-year-old vines that
produce fruit of remarkable concentration and complexity. These
ancient vines, combined with the estate's elevated position and
unique microclimate, create the foundation for wines that transcend
typical rosé expectations.
The
winemaking philosophy at d'Esclans challenges conventional rosé
production. Rather than treating pink wine as a simple,
early-drinking style, Lichine and his team employ barrel
fermentation and barrel ageing for their premium cuvées. This
approach, more commonly associated with fine white wines, gives
their rosés a structure and longevity that allows them to age
gracefully – a revolutionary concept in the rosé world.

Throughout the evening, Chef Kerth will introduce each dish, offering insight into the inspiration, ingredients, and techniques behind the menu, while our wine experts guide you through the pairings. The experience takes place in Fenchurch Restaurant’s private dining room, high above the City of London. 1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations.
