The cabaret was great, the service was a little pushy to sell extras. The food was embarrassingly awful. Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-05-24

We were bombarded by automated emails for pre-booking our meal despite arranging to go as a large group, having already given them all our names and food requests. They seemed to find the pre-booking difficult despite it being requested and needed countless calls and emails to sort out before arrival. On the night the wrong food was delivered then had to be rearranged and they had run out of some of the items in the meal despite the pre-order. The drinks in the pre-order menu took an hour to arrive and any subsequent ordered drinks were extremely slow. We were given the wrong drinks for another table without realising, some people had taken a sip then the waiters took the drinks away and gave them the correct table despite the fact some had been sipped. We were presented with a large bill during the finale performance and the waitress demanded we pay then which wasn't great timing. They had added 12.5% service charge to the bill, including the pre-booked meal that we had already paid for which wasn't made clear when we bought the tickets. The performance was fun but not amazing and felt very short considering the cost of the ticket. The tables were then whisked away and it felt like we were being cleared out of the venue at 10pm, ready for another night. It was not clear on the event description that it would change to a completely different theme of evening after the show, with new guests arriving for just this event on a different ticket. It was a very expensive night out which didn't live up to expectations considering the terrible customer service and lack of organisation before and during the event. The night overall was fabulous! My group were thoroughly shocked and entertained! We loved the 'hostess with the mostess', beautiful voice (loved Frozen rendition) and hilarious! She made my night but I also loved the Proud Boys, very cute, and talented. The food however was not great, barely warm and not very nice, most was left unconsumed (except the brownies, and we were left still hungry. The waitress was very gracious in informing us about any extra charges , sadly I wasn't impressed with the pressure to purchase a brownie from the dessert menu in order to commemorate the night with a short announcement. You cant exactly say no, and tbh TGI Fridays sing to you for free, so its a bit cheeky. Booking was great, staff were helpful and called to confirm details in order to provide a smooth night. Pre-orders I thought were a great idea for large parties! Shame about the actual food and cheap wine (cocktail). Overall, with nightclub entry included, a great value for money and thoroughly entertaining night! Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-05-19

The show was great and we couldn’t fault the performance. However - I paid £154 to take my best friend for her Birthday which we booked back in April. On arrival to the venue we weren’t on the list of names so we were asked to take a seat while they figured out what happened ... they asked us to confirm how much we paid, when we had booked and had to show our confirmation email on 3 occasions. The lady took pictures of the email off my phone using her phone and then asked as what we ordered for food - it was like an interrogation!!! Absolutely embarrassing, all while happening in front of other guests coming into the venue. Finally after being sat waiting for 40 minutes in the lobby, we were told they’d managed to find us a table - ‘find’ being the appropriate word. We were put in what I can only describe as the ‘walk way’ where your waiting staff insisted all night in standing in front of our table. We had to ask on several occasions to ask them to politely move as they were blocking the performances. When we got seated at the table I asked about our ‘free cocktail on arrival’ which was part of our booking ... adding insult to injury, your waitress asked me to ‘show her the email confirming this’ ... at this point I nearly exploded.. a lot of work to do on this venue and waiting staff. Disappointed. Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-05-05

The show was good, although over rather early. The event organisation was really very poor. We had twice booked for Embankment and our first booking was cancelled due to an 'exclusive' event on our chosen night. This left us out of pocket with babysitters etc. Having rescheduled for the 10th we were told 3 days before the night that it would no longer be in Embankment, but in the City venue. As I live close to the Embankment, this added significant extra travel cost. Promised upgrades failed to materialise. This disappointing experience undermines the quality of the performers. Group of 9 on a hen do. We all booked separately but the organiser arranged by email for us all to be sat together. When we arrived we were told that nothing had been arranged for us and after some discussion we were eventually given 2 booths next to each other. First round of drinks ordered which included 2 Becks after some time the waitress came and told us that they had run out of Becks and Bud...at 7pm on a Saturday night? We eventually all got our drinks only to be told that there had been a mix up and the food that we had pre-ordered hadn’t been received by them so we all had to re-order. The food was very nice when it arrived which was unfortunately at the same time as the caberet started. The caberet wasn’t what I expected for Male Burlesque...just some guys doing gymnastics an unfunny comedienne and a guy dressed as a cowboy who sang and stripped down to a leather thong. The manager was very nice and arranged a couple of bottles of Prosecco and cocktails on the house, but the evening never really recovered from a disappointing start Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-05-05

Greattttt show, I certainly recommend it. We celebrated our friend's 40th Birthday, and she absolutely loved it. I've never been to any strip clubs or men's show myself, but this was amazing, it was like going to the theatre, very artistic, funny, they interact with the public and the birthday/bride/special girl/boy of the evening, we really liked it. The staff were extremely professional and helpful at all times. We just had a bit of an incident due to them being extremely busy at the bar, we waited for over one hour for our cocktail drinks on arrival, the General Manager and all the staff dealt with the situation really well, and were very apologetic for the delay, we were offered in the end a complimentary drink due to the delay, and we got our cocktails also!!! so happy customers! :) Thank you guys for an amazing evening! I wish I could provide some review of the show but unfortunately we could not even enter the venue. When we reached, we were told that the show was postponed and moved to a different venue and some private event was being held on that evening.. My wife and I had planned a nice evening together after a very long time but this completely ruined it. There was no notification of the change and such negligence is rather disappointing. The staff were quite helpful but the sales email that they gave me bounced back. I have informed designmynight but have still not been contacted by Proud with an apology/resolution/refund. The food was really great, but I was very disappointed with the show - we were meant to be booked at the Embankment venue but they moved us to the City venue because of refurbishments, and the show that was advertised for Thursday nights at the City venue was meant to be a circus themed show with some aerial performances or something (which is also why I originally booked the Embankment show). However, the show was not circus themed, there was no aerial performance for example, and each act was very limited to just dancing except one. The host was not what I would expect from a cabaret venue. I would expect something classy, like a singer, NOT A COMEDIAN who wasn't even funny most of the time. Each act was short and didn't have a theme (except one performer who was very good with a hula-hoop). The show really needed work, perhaps a doubles act with a story, or an aerial hoop performance (low ceilings). But the host was really the part that I disliked the most. We had a great night, the food was lovely and the new show was loads of fun. Favourite food was the crispy chilli beef and favourite act was the hostess with the mostess!!!! Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-04-28

Highlights - Variety of acts - Entertaining - Good view of stage Lowlights - Food was average, portions were small and curry was cold - Drinks were overly expensive - Seating was cramped - Male dancers could be hotter!! - Entertainment was shorter than expected Visited Proud Cabaret City on 2018-04-28

Great night for me + the girls - ticked all our 'great night out' boxes! Started with a couple of bubbly cocktails leading onto a fantastic show - performers were best we've seen by a country mile ** stars in our eyes ** great food - I had the steak + then creme brulee for dessert. Would definitely recommend for parties/couples looking for something different... a lot of fun!!!

Really recommend Proud Cabaret City, such a lovely setting and all of the burlesque acts were amazing. Our food was delicious and our hostess was attentive and had us laughing the whole way through our meal, She was super chatty and helpful. The nightclub afterwards was really busy and we stayed till gone 2am, all in all it was a brilliant night and I can't wait to come back again for Christmas,

Didn't book through here but think it's important for everyone to know my experience. The initial issues: Had to wait ages for out table and then longer for our welcome drink Our order wasn't recorded even though it was had been pre ordered The starters were cold The fish was raw and had to be sent back Then another massive wait The next fish had hair in it The toilets stank The waiting staff were rude Due to all of this we missed most of the show We agreed with the staff that we would or pay our final bill (we had already £450 prior to arrival) until Monday when we could speak to the manager and agree a discount for the problems. Despite this agreement and not being contacted as arranged I found out that on the Tuesday after my visit they took an unauthorised payment from my credit card. The only way this could be possible is if they had been illegally holding my card details for over 3 weeks from when I made my first card payment over the phone. A week later and I am still in desputes and being treated with terrible service.

Agree that this doesn't come cheap but for me you get what you pay for. Great entertainment and an authentic decor, it's a really great option for a girls night out!

This was an expensive evening, but worth every penny. The show was amazing with a variety of female and male acts. The food was exquisite and the cocktails were on point.

Splash the cash indeed, after paying £100 for 2 dinner & show, I was just for the programme, £10 surchabe on food although I thought it has been paid + 12.5 % tip added to the bill.. The cheapest bottle of wine was £26. We had a bottle and a 2 extra glasses of red and they tried to charge us for 2 bottles. Its really unfortunate that I got the feeling we were being ripped off.. aside from that it would have been a really nice evening. We saw 6 acts, 3 girls only doing 2 routines each

Came mainly for the show but the food was much better than I had expected as well. With all the smoke, velvet and table lamp its was just like being transported back into the 1920s. Had a great view of the performers who were amazing despite quite a long wait in between acts. Have recommended to loads of my friends anyway!
