Disgraceful management and service for a rather lovely bar. We made a reservation a week in advance and to our surprise were taken to possibly the worst seats in the place which suspiciously had no reservation sign on it as we could spot a much more comfortable corner table that did. It was disappointing but we settled in hoping we can be moved to a different table later on in the night. Next the bartender comes over and spills the cocktail over me and my girlfriends bag without much of an apology, I might add. In response there wasn't even a courtesy free drink. As the night progressed, more than 45 minutes into the night, the corner table is still vacant with the reserved sign which started to piss me off. I went over to have a word with the manager and it turns out that the manager is the only busy bartender making cocktails, too busy to talk to get feedback from customers. This was the last straw and we decided to cut our losses and move on. We were so disappointed at the appalling service of this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone anymore. It's a shame cause we did like this place. Hopefully this review will cause a reaction to make amends. visited Piano Smithfield on 15 Oct 2016

Delightful night out! We went out for my birthday. My husband reserved a table and we were given an awesome spot in the very centre. We had 2 separate pianist who were both talented but with very different vocal styles. The selection of cocktails and classy drinks was superb and the price typical of London. We were lucky to have a couple of our requests performed. Great memories!

Visited this venue on a sunny summer's evening, which was our first error. Decor resembles a dodgy strip club, drinks were overpriced and a "discretionary" tip was added to the bill even when you went up to the bar to order. We were anticipating some sort of antipasti or nibbles, but there is only pizza, served in a cardboard takeaway box with some napkins. The music was far too loud - we couldn't have a conversation without shouting at each other. All in all, a very disappointing and yet very expensive evening. bccly visited Piano Smithfield on 06 May 2016

We visited this venue for our Christmas party. I can honestly say we have had one of the best Christmas parties in some time. Rhys, Denise and the team were really professional, looked after us extremely well and the pianists got the whole crowd singing along, the cocktails were absolutely fabulous too. Brilliant night and highly recommended! tricia998 visited Piano Smithfield on 17 Dec 2015

Arranged a night out with girlfriends and was expecting to be able to sit and chat whilst listening to (and of course singing along with) the Piano player. The service and drinks were very good but the music, both the piano player and the 'in-between sets' music was way too loud, to the extent that everyone in the place was literally shouting. No way you could relax and have a conversation which really spoilt it for us. Too small a venue for such loud music. When the piano player attempted Wuthering Heights in a key so high it made our ears hurt it was definitely time to leave. Shame, could have been a great night. From previous reviews we were expecting something a little more classy. katykate visited Piano Smithfield on 10 Dec 2015

Not quite what I was expecting, I went on a Friday night about 8pm with a friend, we booked a table which faced the stage but there wasn't much point facing the stage as you couldn't see the piano player as the piano was also used as a place for people to sit around and drink. They were having a great time drunkenly singing across the piano at each other and dancing about the stage so we spent most of the night having to watch and listen to them rather than the guy playing the piano. It was slightly too karaoke night got me I am afraid but I think I just picked the wrong night as it was more boozy after work drinks than relaxing drinks listening to good live music. Great cocktails though and friendly service from the waiter. kcm visited Piano Smithfield on 06 Nov 2015

Romantic, amazing and cosy live music bar. The staff was super kind and the musicians (Breaking Bazz) were awesome. We didn't try their cocktails as we prefer to try their curious beers but we will next time - looked delicious. A must!

This place has now taken to having hen nights!!! Spoilt what I hoped would be a fun night as my last night out in London before emigrating. Great Bar Staff still though.

Had a fantastic evening here last week for my husband's 30th birthday surprise evening!! The staff were fantastic and so helpful! They let me decorate the area with bunting and balloons. We also had a cake and lit the candles with 30th sparkler on top! The atmosphere is great and the two guys on the piano were superb. They played requests all night with songs everyone knows and can sing along to! They also sang happy birthday a number of times to my husband! We will definitely return and my sister is now considering having her birthday evening here too :)

Agree with bzelly below - it's not so much a piano bar but that doesn't mean it isn't great fun! Guys at the front play the first line of a well known song, then everybody else joins in for a sing along. Appreciate some are looking for something more serene from a Piano Bar, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere on our visit!

Very disappointing, basically a noisy basement pub with an electronic keyboard and an older rocker playing and singing. Not a Piano Bar, unlikely to come come here, what more can I say.

So much fun! Perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Opened many friend's eyes to how awesome a piano bar could be. Great, potent, drinks. 1 critique: Way way too much Elton John in the repertoire.

What an amazing night! Me and my boyfriend booked a table for a bit of a date night and we will definitely be coming back. Great music, fantastic atmosphere and fab drinks (my bellini and g&ts were yum and the bf was very impressed with the selection of bottled beers). Service was impeccable with our waitress managing to avoid the throngs of people (don't come if you don't like busy places as this place gets heaving but in a good way) and made sure that we never had to wait for drinks orders to be taken and selected gorgeous drinks when we asked for recommendations. We literally could not rate this place any higher as we danced our way to the early hours along to the two brilliant pianists that were on. Two words...LOVED IT! We'll definitely be back!

Really disappointed to be redirected there from piano bar Kensington after it was fully booked, really bad music (not jazz to begin with...) and kitschy space. If you like piano bar Kensington I would definitely not recommend it.
