An authentic Tokyo-inspired Cocktail bar, sushi restaurant and late night DJ bar founded back in 1998, Fluid is somewhat of a Clerkenwell institution. Its as much loved for its sumptuous cocktails with an eastern-twist (check the chilli and lychee-infused 'Mortal Kombat' or the Absinth and passion fruit based 'Applesinth'), as it is its trademark Katsu Curry and Duck Teriyaki. Tucked away from the masses at the Barbican end of Charterhouse Street, Fluid remains a best-kept secret for those city regulars and local media types in the know, priding itself on first-rate customer service. At weekends Fluid is a destination-led spot as world-class Djs provide a sumptuous soundtrack of warm deep house, balearic beats, funk, reggae and disco grooves late into the night. Highly recommended.
