Known from Soho before Corona and on Zoom during Corona.

A sell-out comedy show that features female comedians, hosted by award-winning Austrian most famous (and only) lesbian comedian: Alice Frick!

Laughing Labia proudly presents a diverse line-up of female comedians. Diversity is mostly emphasised in this show. We want to show that entertainment can be so much funnier, richer and deeper than represented on TV and in the media.

Line-up

Dana Alexander

featured on British television on programmes such as "Russell Howard's
Good News", "Edinburgh Comedy Fest" and "The Culture Show". Dana can be
seen on stage within in the U.K. and Internationally. She has performed
in more than 40 countries such as Bahrain,
Dubai, Switzerland, Croatia, France, The Netherlands, Norway, Serbia,
The Seychelles, Hungary, Malta and South Africa. She has also performed
for the British Armed Forces.

Pam Ford

aka Cougar Pammy, towering tall Aussie comedian with a naughty sense of
humour, with the best legs in stand-up (barring drag acts) In your face
raconteur and teller of gags, all based on her real life events.

Zahra Barri

is an Egyptian writer and comedian who loves writing and talking about
taboo subjects in a light-hearted and funny style. She has had her
writing feature on Radio 4, Radio 4 Extra, Radio 2, BBC Asian Network
and BBC Period Dramas online. Her debut Novel won
Runner Up for the CWIP Unpublished prize 2020. She is currently doing a
PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire. She has
grown up in Saudi Arabia, but also Bracknell.

Barbara Brownskirt

is the comic creation of Karen McLeod. As Writer-in-Residence at the 197
bus stop on Croydon Road, Barbara is anorak wearing and
unlucky-in-love. Writing and performing unintentionally appalling
poetry, Barbara is highly prolific, yet hugely unsuccessful. Barbara
has been described as ‘affecting, sad and touchingly unaware’ to the
extent that her poetry becomes genuinely moving.

Sasha Ellen
A stand-up comedian, with a friendly, quirky, conversational style. She
has been shortlisted for Funny Women Writers Award and longlisted for
BBC Writer’s Room- Comedy. “Rife with cheeky humour... upfront and
witty” Broadway Baby

Host of the show: Alice Frick, award winning Austrian comedian and Funny
Women Finalist, writer of the sitcom “What the Frick”, host and
organiser of Laughing Labia… “exuberant.... perfectly pitched”, Three
Weeks
