Gun

Description

A Grade II listed early 19th century building, steeped in history, The Gun is located on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of the Docklands. The Gun takes its name from the cannon, fired to celebrate the opening of the West India Import Docks in 1802 and was allegedly home to Lord Nelson’s secret assignations with his lover Lady Emma Hamilton. The pub has been painstaking restored to its former glory, and with a multitude of stunningly refurbished private dining rooms and snug areas to discover, is the perfect destination to settle in with a bottle of fine wine and lose your self in the company of your guests.

The Gun serves a strictly British seasonal menu, with daily changing specials. They are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with the choice of their carefully crafted fine dining menus and their less formal pub menu for their hungry patrons. Retire to the riverside terrace with sweeping view of the River Thames and the O2 for the ideal spot for your pre-dinner glass of champagne.

This is a very popular destination in the area, be sure to book your table online so you don't miss out!

The Gun London - Pub Review

The Gun London - Pub Review

The Venue In all honesty, The Gun isn’t much to look at from the outside. Cross the threshold however, and it’s a totally different ball game. The front dining area and bar is littered with beautifully laid tables, impressive naval-inspired portraits hang on the walls and homelytrinkets…
