Few songwriters have mapped city life, romance and character quite like Billy Joel. Simply Billy Joel draws from a catalogue shaped by sharp observation and melodic instinct, where each song feels like a scene, a voice, or a moment caught in time.
Performed by a band of experienced session musicians, this show focuses on the musical detail behind the songs, from the rhythmic drive of Joel’s rock-influenced work to the more intimate, piano-led arrangements that define his ballads. Their collective experience, with credits including Sting, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Raye, brings both discipline and ease to the performance.
The set moves through some of Joel’s most recognisable work, including "Uptown Girl", "Piano Man" and "She’s Always a Woman", capturing the balance between storytelling and melody that runs throughout his writing.
Across more than five decades, Billy Joel has built a body of work that sits comfortably between pop, rock and jazz, with songs that remain staples of radio, live performance and popular culture. This show approaches that catalogue with a clear sense of its musical roots and structure, allowing the writing and musicianship to take centre stage.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. 4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
