KAUR will be kicking off carnival season with an eclectic array of artists, DJs and interviews to get your feet moving and your mind elated. The name ‘Kaur’ in Sikhi is the last name given to women, for them to maintain strength and independence. Kaur phonetically sounds like core, the root of everything, the heart, the substance, the centre of the earth.
With interactive art sessions, a knitting workshop, and an exhibition, there are many ways to get inspired and express creativity. We’ve also got live music, spoken word and a marketplace if you just wanna chill and take the world in. We’ll be doing an interview with one of East London’s finest, giving us an authentic outlook on the history of Brick Lane. Join The Cockney Sikh on an exclusive walking tour for an in-depth and original insight into this vibrant part of the city.
The exhibition will explore themes of identity, community and experiences as a society or from an individual’s perspective. Come and check some marvellous artists, learn about their stories, share one of your own!

7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.

9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
