One of the most curious and respected selectors in the UK, Tina Edwards joins the dots between jazz and club culture and we’re thrilled to announce her as a guest curator here at Ninety One this Autumn!
Join us for a series of intimate live shows and very special B2B DJ sets, taking place over three months. Headline performances by Cityscape Ensemble, Caleb Kunle and Stella Talpo are paired with B2B sets from Tina Edwards and guest DJs Marlon George, Lena C and Lev.
The series begins on October 28th, with the energetic, jazz fusion sextet Cityscape Ensemble as the live guest and a B2B DJ set with Tina and Lena C.
ABOUT TINA EDWARDS
Whether it’s modern jazz dance floor burners, unearthed and obscure 90s acid jazz or afro-driven rhythms from across the world, Tina’s sets are as much an introduction to incredible lesser-heard music as much as they are a celebration of the current UK Jazz explosion. Much like pioneers of the 90s jazz resurgence, Tina is a tastemaker who is breaking artists and bringing jazz to a whole new club-orientated audience.
ABOUT CITY SCAPE ENSEMBLE
Ethereal, yet energetic, jazz fusion sextet fuse influences such as contemporary classical music Terry Riely, Steve Reich etc, post-rock and jazz improvisation, creating dense cinematic soundscapes. Members of the project have performed with some of the most exciting names in UK Jazz - the likes of Steam Down, Pjaen, Emma Rawicz and Neue Grafik Ensemble.
After only two years the band are beginning to break into the UK jazz scene, performing at venues such as Jazz in the Round.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
