Celebrated mixologist Matt Whiley - the brains behind the hugely popular pop-up The Talented Mr Fox and cocktail bar Purl - is at his creative best when it comes to Bethnal Green's Peg + Patriot. 

Located in the Town Hall Hotel, the venue offers incredibly innovative and original cocktails, house spirits created on site and meticulously sourced spirits from small independent companies around the world. We'll wager that you've never sampled a Salt Beef Sazerac (salt beef beigal cognac, absinthe, sugar and bitters) or a Marmite Vodka Martini (P+P Marmite vodka served wet with house made dry vermouth); but wacky concoctions like these are common-place here.

There's more to Peg + Patriot than just innovative cocktails though. The venue also leans heavily towards distillation, and they produce three different types of gin on site - including the recently launched product Moonshine Kid Dog’s Nose. Executive Chef Lee Westcott is on hand to keep hunger at bay, with a menu carefully devised to suit the drinks.
