Description
One of the most distinguished bars in the world, the American Bar lies within The Savoy hotel.
Experience timeless elegance and award-winning cocktails at the American Bar which has been pioneering original cocktails and slick service since it's original inception in 1898. With its art deco fittings alongside electric blue and gold chairs and constant buzz, the American Bar retains the style of the golden age of cocktails in the 1920's.
Staff follow ‘The Savoy Cocktail Book’ - written by head bartender Harry Craddock in the 1930s - which remains the quintessential cocktail recipe guide. Obtaining the coveted title of head bartender here is still considered one of the most prestigious roles out there, so you know you're in good hands.
Voted as the World’s Best Bar multiple times, the bar's cocktail list includes classics with a twist, new and vintage creations and legendary bartender’s signature drinks – like Harry Craddock’s famous White Lady and Ada Coleman's Hanky Panky. With a live pianist every day of the week and the current Songbook menu, you're in for a good time.
