In place of the cancelled Ariwo show, we've teamed up with Latinos In London to present one of the most popular London bands to perform with traditional instruments from the Andes and Latin America.
Lokandes will mix Afro-Latin rhythms with traditional Latin American music and will topped and tailed at this free fiesta by DJ Carlitos Niño, playing a mix of Latin Jazz with a fusion of tropical sounds and Salsa Brava.

Lokandes continue to make their mark as one of the truly exceptional live acts emerging from the Latin community in London, taking the melodies and energy of Andean music and mixing it with Rumba, Reggae and red hot Afro-Latin rhythms. The band unites musicians and instruments from Peru, Bolivia, Spain, and the UK and combines their highly original music with socially conscious lyrics and a super tight rhythm section. Having released their first album two years ago, they are currently working on the follow up that will be played for this special show.
Lokandes are fronted by whirlwind musical maestro Kanti Qena and the band have previously provided stellar performances at venues including Notting Hill Arts Club, Passing Clouds, Jazz Cafe, The Coronet, The O2, etc. and festivals such as Big Chill, Love Box, Movimientos, Andean Connection, Shoreditch Festival, Carnaval del Pueblo (Burgess Park), Global Local, Latin Quarter, Rich Mix, The Scoop, Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party, London Mela (Gunnersbury Park), London Green Fair, Glastonbury, Vamos Festival, London Latin American Film Festival and many others.
