One of 20 sites throughout the north of England and Scotland, Gusto’s Liverpool restaurant is found in a prized location beside the Albert Dock and overlooking the Tate Gallery.

The motto here is Con Amici (eating with friends) and Gusto certainly has a warm and communal feel. Tables can be booked for anywhere up to 40 people, with menus featuring a blend of both classic and contemporary Italian dishes, as well as a few comfort food classics for good measure. Expect beautiful pasta plates, pizzas, steak, seafood and salads, with selected items on the menu available in a starter portion if you’d prefer to keep things light.

The restaurant is open from midday during the week (extending to 10am for brunch at the weekends) and would make a great choice whether you’re catching up with old friends or treating someone on date night. There’s an early evening dining menu if you’re heading out and about in the city afterwards, and a drinks menu made up of everything from cocktails to wines and bottled beers to soft drinks.
