- Cocktail Bar
Hidden amongst the gridlines of Liverpool's Ropewalk area, Almost Famous is a welcoming restaurant that offers the city's hungry crowds a huge selection of burgers and carefully crafted cocktails to sink into. Using an impressive arsenal of ingredients, the team of chefs have perfected the art of balancing copious amounts of food in between two toasted slices of brioche bun.
The venue itself is as light-hearted and easy-going as the menu of hearty comfort food treats. The exposed brick walls and rough, unfinished wooden tables give the venue a distinctive rustic feel, while the metallic, spirit-heavy bar adds a calming sense of weightless serenity to the restaurant.
Of course, it's the delicious, Crisco-loaded food that draws the restaurants customers in. Dripping with sauce and various condiment concoctions, the bar's burgers steal the show, with the fiery Buffalo Beach Club and the succulent Good Morning America in particular proving to be a hit. If you've still got room after that, really challenge your gut with a tall glass of fruit milkshake, topped with whipped cream, crunchy biscuits and soft marshmallows. Freakshakes and fries, what's not to like?
