Get involved in our weekly Dive Bar Karaoke where you can sing your favourite song backed by our house band of talented musicians taking your requests every Thursday from 10. Or if you're more of a weekend kinda guy/gal head down for our resident DJs spinning all the pop anthems from 10pm every Friday and 10pm across both floors every Saturday. Make your way in before 11 to enjoy our happy hour deals.

Tucked above the iconic Fleet Street favourite, Upstairs at Motel Bar is a private events space that brings all the character of our dive bar—just with a more intimate twist. With exposed brick walls, eclectic artwork, moody lighting, and cosy booth seating, this is the perfect backdrop for birthdays, corporate socials, wedding celebrations, and everything in between.

The space holds up to 150 guests standing or 60 seated, making it ideal for both big bashes and more curated events. It’s free to hire (with deposits and minimum spends applying), and comes fully loaded with:

  • HD TVs – great for sports screenings, presentations, or custom visuals.

  • Motel’s signature drinks menu – bold house specials, craft cocktails, and American beers.

  • In-house photobooth – with optional prepaid, custom-designed prints for lasting memories.

  • Late licence until 4 AM – keep the party going into the early hours

  • Karaoke Band (subject to availability) – take centre stage and belt out your favourite songs, backed by our electrifying house band.
