Description
Based in the heart of Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter, Frederiks has been at the forefront of the city’s dining and live music scene for more than a decade.
Located between the cathedrals on Liverpool’s iconic Hope Street, Fred’s is more than just a bar - it’s a daily drop-in for loyal locals, an out-of-towners’ discovery, a satisfying pitstop for the peckish, a weekly destination for Jazz followers, an after-dark haunt for cocktail lovers and a place where friends and family gather for Sunday roast.
Food is served daily, with a relaxed menu of meat, fish and vegetarian and vegan plates along with a selection of hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas - Fred’s kitchen is open late on midweek live music nights.
A showcase for both established Jazz musicians and artists breaking onto the music scene, with both solo and group performances, Hope Street Jazz runs three nights a week and attracts a diverse following from students to city residents. Weekly listings can be found on Frederiks socials.
Heavy on the disco and cocktails Fred’s comes in to its own on weekends - with resident DJ John Dean and guests playing from 9pm until late - followed by restorative Roasts on Sundays.
Served from midday right through to 8pm for late risers, there’s meaty, veggie and vegan roast options with all the trimmings plus a great selection of starters, pizzas, puds and more - advance booking is recommended.
From dinners to drinks, a variety of spaces can be reserved in advance at Fred’s. For larger events including wedding breakfasts and celebration birthdays, private space The Pillbox seats up to 100 guests and includes a private bar, AV, and the services of one of the venue’s event managers - unlike many other city venues it’s available to book for free any day of the week.
