Issho

Description

Issho is a contemporary Japanese rooftop restaurant and bar in Leeds.

Inside the swanky Victoria Gate shopping centre, the restaurant is modern, with woodern panelling on the walls and bar, as well as splashings of greenery and cutesy lights. Their outside terrace is perfect in the summer, complete with trees and a stunning view.

The Japanese menu is designed by Ben Orpwood, previously of the super-successful Zuma and Sexy Fish in London. The name ‘Issho’ comes from the Japanese word for sharing – as the dishes are designed to be eaten together, or enjoyed at the open kitchen counters. They specialise in either robata or sushi too. Their Kori Bar serves up a list of original cocktails and sake, as well as Japanese beers and whiskies.
