Howl is a bar for the alternative rockers, punks and goths of Leeds.

The venue is all about the music, becoming one of the only bars dedicated to rock, punk, goth and alternative beats. Typically, the purple walls are covered in rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia and there’s a giant cross hanging from the ceiling to really drive the punk spirit home. Despite the hardcore fanbase, they try to be as welcoming as they can, taking requests on the speakers and even letting non-rock fans in for a drink.

As for those drinks, the focus is on great beer, with everything from Brooklyn Lager on the tap to Robinson’s Trooper, a beer specifically brewed for the band Iron Maiden. There’s also a collection of spirits and whiskeys too. If you’re feeling peckish, you can grab some food from their neighbours and bring it in as well.
