Football fans in Glasgow can kick off Scotland’s World Cup 2026 campaign in lively fashion at the Merchant Square World Cup Fanzone, hosted at the iconic Merchant Square venue on the night of Saturday 13 June into the early hours of Sunday 14 June. Running from 10pm until 4:30am, the event offers a late-night matchday experience centred around Scotland’s opening fixture against Haiti, bringing supporters together for an energetic and sociable celebration of the national team.
The fan zone provides access to a range of popular bars and eateries within the square, including The Tap Yard, Sano Pizza, Vodka Wodka, Table 28 and O’Neill’s, alongside a central viewing area for the big-screen action. Fans can soak up a full evening of football, with live entertainment throughout and additional coverage of Brazil v Morocco shown earlier in the night before Scotland’s 2am kick-off.
Designed as a comprehensive matchday experience, the event blends sport, food, drink and entertainment into one vibrant setting. With table bookings available via individual venues and a buzzing atmosphere expected across the square, it offers a memorable way for supporters aged 18 and over to watch Scotland’s first World Cup match in the company of fellow fans.
