CAU Glasgow

Argentinian-inspired restaurant chain CAU have ventured into Glasgow - their first posting in Scotland. This addition sees the chains 'total count' rise to a whopping '15' as it expands across the UK.

You'll find their first Scottish posting in Glasgow's brand-new building complex on Queen's Street, CONNECT110NS; it will cover 2,650 sq ft on the ground floor, and 1,400 sq ft on the feature mezzanine. As you'd expect from CAU, this swanky steakhouse sports a super sleek interior, with plush furnishings and super-shiny finishings found throughout - a refreshingly bright and polished place to tuck into a big ol' slab of steak.

And of course, that's the main draw of this place - their selection of their incredible cuts of beef. Expect a menu of hearty dishes inspired by Spanish and Italian cooking, alongside the finest Argentinian beef - think mouthwatering steaks and big beefy burgers. Alongside the droolworthy meat on offer here, there's also a tempting selection of more-ish side dishes too - each with a distinctive Buenos Aires twist.

I was actually a little bit disappointed by the food in here. It was merely average and given it was quite expensive we'd expected more. Location and restaurant are lovely though, and couldn't fault the service.

Modern, clean, great decor, friendly, very helpful staff and lively atmosphere. Food was quick to arrive and delicious. The tempura pork is probably one of the most tasty things I've ever eaten. The 'small plates' are great - we had two each and a couple of 'sides'. Only issues were that one of the meals we ordered wasn't very warm and that we called in to get the loyalty-type-card the week before as it said on the website there was 30% off..... but then we realised that this was just on Sundays. When we activated the card, it said that we would receive a £5 reduction in our meal.... but when paying the bill, this was not possible? Confusing! Other than that, a must in Glasgow city centre!
