Description
A listening bar with a proper kitchen, on Gibson Street in Glasgow’s West End. Records on the vinyl decks, the vintage Bose 901s and a room built for music.
The Left Bank has been on Gibson Street since 2006, and now the room is arranged around vinyl and the people in it. Glasgow selectors and guests play every Friday and Saturday night, with monthly residencies through the week: Jazz Lab on the first Sunday afternoon, Mark Robb on vinyl and reel-to-reel on the third Friday, and Vinyl Surgery on the third Saturday. Entry is free. The rest of the time the soundtrack is chosen by people, not algorithms.
The kitchen runs all day: brunch till four, dinner from four and a late kitchen till midnight, with dedicated vegan and gluten-free menus. The bar is open 10am till 1am, with cocktails, wine by the glass in three sizes, draught beer and a proper alcohol-free list.
Children are welcome to dine until 10pm with an adult, and dogs are welcome. The street entrance is step-free, with an accessible toilet and baby change on the ground floor. A few minutes’ walk from Kelvinbridge.

The Left Bank has 65 seats across two floors, and the room can be booked for birthdays, work dos, leaving drinks, label nights or a night built around the music.
