Opening in a Southside space formerly occupied by a carpet shop and a gospel church room, The McMillan Southside Bar & Chop House injects its own little piece of history into Pollockshaws Road.
After the wild success of their West End branch, the McMillan family have stretched their wings into Glasgow's up and coming Southside, to open a bar and chop house that'll serve simple but perfectly executed dishes to the good people of Glasgow. The space is vast, filled with handmade furniture and extending into outdoor and private areas, with booths available to hire.
On the menu is a hearty and locally sourced selection of ingredients, artfully prepared by experienced chefs into high quality meat and seafood dishes: expect scallops, lobster, burgers and steaks, as well as lighter lunchtime treats. Alongside the chow on offer, punters can look forward to a broad selection of beverages, including cocktails, seven beers on draught and Scottish craft beers served by the bottle. If that weren't enough to whet your whistle, Glasgow's own Alexandra Wines have selected a number of wines to pair perfectly with the dishes on offer.
