Another jewel to add to the Kelvingrove crown, Ox & Finch is the next big thing to hit Sauchiehall Street. This ever anticipated venture is the brainchild of Jonathan MacDonald (who also holds street food brand Scoop under his belt), with Daniel Spurr and Mario Podola at the helm.
Occupying a much coveted corner space on Sauchiehall Street, the building has undergone a major renovation to transform it into its current state of glory; now it boasts a sharp and impressive design that showcases raw brick, Victorian tiling, concrete tables and an open kitchen. The space comfortably hosts seventy diners, with space for a further ten at the more informal bar space.
The menu consists of a cool selection of seasonally inspired dishes, all of which are served in a style that encourages sharing. Dishes are matched with a wide and varied selection of wines, as well as a hearty selection of locally brewed craft beers by the bottle and on draught. A cool addition to the Sauchiehall Street bar and restaurant scene, this one offers a sharp, slick alternative to the established norm.
