Description

Holiday-happy, kitsch and colourful, Mango Tropical Bar & Restaurant brings a sunny sweetness to Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. Brimming with beats from Latin America and the Caribbean, this three level restaurant-bar and club certainly creates a deliciously different night-time music feel showcasing everything from reggae and ska to latin and salsa for that ultimate easy-going feel.

In keeping with the sultry South American theme, Mango Tropical Bar & Restaurant is designed with a bright, vibey look, particularly its slap-dash style collage of colourful posters and maps, so you'll immediately feel like you've been teleported to a boozy Brazilian barrio. Classic and authentic, tapas dishes with a street-food-style twist from all over South America and Cuba fill the menu mix, so tuck into some spicy delights before trying your feet at some salsa classes or perhaps an open mic night.

Mixologists have concocted a marathon of cocktails, including a fruity fave "Banana Mama", as well as a bunch of beers and spirit snifters at all rock-bottom prices for you and your pals to guzzle down whilst watching some live bands take to the floor.

They should give up to protect their racist doorman. The conversation below was between me and the Mango facebook page. 12 AUGUST 02:04 Güney Every week, When I come to your Friday social nights, the doormans make double check for my bag even inside of my dance shoes and ask strange questions like "it's too big bag for just dance shoes doesn't it", "why did you come here". Last week, I was tried and sitting down on a chair and one of the doorman came to me and showed his arm then told me if I want to eject smoke, I should go out and then come to the club again. I asked "Do I look like smoke" he replied "yes". today after double check, he asked my ID, I showed my student ID, driving license, and copy of my visa but they wanted to see additional documents such as the original version of my passport then they didn't let me enter the club. Güney I don't know if your doormen have a right to treat me like a suspected person every week. I'm dancing for 8 years in 7 different countries and this was the first time for me to be rejected from a latin night. I NEVER SMOKE or I NEVER DİD wrong behaviours. I don't know the exact details of UK laws but this was a kind of exact discrimination for something due to maybe my ripped jacket, maybe my accent maybe my phenotype. ın fact I don't what's the problem. is it normal situation in glasgow or is it common behaviour for all of your customers? MANGO Tropical Bar/Restaurant/Club Hello Güney, I hope you are well. I would just like to advise you that all door Stewards in Scotland have the right to check your bag. This is standard practice due the potential threats that may be imposed. At the very minimum, you may have anything like unauthorised liquids etc. Please understand that the stewards are only doing their job when they ask for relevant ID, which consists in the uk of a drivers licence, passport or legalised foreign ID card. Thanks Paula Güney thank you very much for your interest. 🙂 but my driving card is valid in eu. and are you doing double check against all your customers and asking your customers to go out to eject smoke and come back. MANGO Tropical Bar/Restaurant/Club We no longer have to accept any customer in who smokes e cigarettes or vapourisers. If this was the case, you may have been asked to smoke this outside. All customers are treated the same and it is our priority for all our customers to be safe and secure and to have a fun experience. Thanks 12 AUGUST 11:01 Güney As I said in my previous message, I didn't smoke anything in my life. 2 SEPTEMBER 01:06 Güney just half hour ago I came to Mango again with the original copy of my UK visa and my other IDs. I gave my bag for control again and gave my visa. On of your doorman asked me "do we know each other before?". I replied "yes". He said "you complained about me last time and I won't take you". I said "but although I showed my ids you didn't take me therefore I wanted to learn is it normal situation in mango." He said "I just did my job and you complained about me no I don't let you enter" I asked "Can I see the manager or director of here." He said "NOPE". What's that 3 SEPTEMBER 15:24 Güney ? 23 OCTOBER 08:19 Güney ? Seen by MANGO Tropical Bar/Restaurant/Club at 23 October 08:57
