13th Note

Description

13th Note is a Merchant City bar, vegan cafe and music venue. An indie basement bar meets top notch niche restaurant, this split personality, split level enterprise is a beloved venue among Glasgow's music fans and arty types.

Upstairs, a buzzing cafe by day dishes up meat-free meals in a busy, but chilled out spot for diners and drinkers to hang out - look out for the beer and burger deals for cheap pre-gig eats. Drinks are a blend of your usual high street beers as well as some craft, vegan and organic bottles too from local brewers. By night, the bar and downstairs venue fill up with eager punters who file in to hear some of Glasgow's established and burgeoning musical talents.

Expect a varied soundtrack with anything from emo and alt to rock and rhythm come to play at what is considered one of the city's most supportive venues for young musicians; some of the best even make it into the house jukebox. More than just a music hall, don't forget to check out the artwork, a rolling roster of fresh Scottish talents have exhibited at the Note.
