Description

Kokomo is a new bar in Glasgow City Centre, that has opened with a rollicking roster of cool club nights and a mouthwatering stock of innovative cocktails. A late bar and nightclub, the stylish, luxe new venture boasts two sleek spaces for drinking, dancing and eating.  Best of all, the new club and bar has bites from acclaimed Glasgow Southside takeaway, Buddy's BBQ with chic plates of their incredible BBQ fare. While open late throughout the week, their Friday night Apres session is already a hot hangout for the City Centre after work crowd.

We already like what's coming from the kitchen, we already love what's coming from the bar, and we're already hyped up by the calibre of club night. With friendly hostesses and bar staff, top name Glasgow DJs, and stunning interiors, Kokomo has already secured quite the party posse of adoring fans.

Great night, great music and reasonably priced drinks. The floors do get quite wet though, a mate slipped and got a bad knock to the head. However he was dealt with brilliantly by staff.

I was exiting the club and slipped on spilled water or drinks after I collected my coat, I was covered in black marks and the manager told me it was my fault. I was in a lot of pain from falling into my elbow and hip but again the manager said I wasn't in pain because apparently I was drunk. I am very disappointed and angry at this because my coat is destroyed and they are doing nothing to compensate this.

Always have an amazing night at Kokomo most recently with a small group celebrating a birthday night out. Great music with two rooms with different DJs, friendly welcoming staff, affordable prices, even better when it's promos!

Don't waste your time or money!!! We booked a booth paying £100 deposit and arrived at the club around 10:40. The bouncers asked if we had a booking/guest list etc. He asked for my ID to check the name on the booking and told us to wait in a queue for a few mins. He went away on his radio and came back with the pathetic excuse "Sorry, but not all of your booth are getting in tonight" and when politely asked why not and was told "I don't need to give you an excuse" - Then his attitude started. The bouncer decided to push a girl in my group – Definition of a true gentlemen. I have read numerous reviews regarding the‘’Door Men’’ at this club and I would advise you not to waste your time and money booking a booth as it seems most people get turned away with no valid reason.. They are supposed to make sure people are safe not be arrogant and rude. There is much better places to go in Glasgow on a Saturday night with bouncers who don't treat people like crap!!

110% THE best place to go in town if you're wanting a great night out with affordable drink. The club has two rooms with two different DJs too just to accommodate everyone with different music tastes. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My favourite night out in Glasgow by far. Always great music with a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a well priced, classy night out I would highly recommend Kokomo.

Great nightclub, music is always on point, staff always very welcoming and drink promotions always make for an affordable and highly enjoyable night out. Would highly recommend for anyone going on a night out in glasgows city centre.

Never fail to have the best night out here! Super well kept club and during the week or at the weekend the promos are great and the music is amazing 😁

Kokomo is easily the best place in Glasgow if you're looking an upmarket club. Drinks are reasonably priced and the door policy ensures no "neds" or "chavs" and therefore a high degree of safety within the club.

We go here at least twice a week and have an absolutely amazing night every time. The guys on the door always sort us free entry and we always end the night in the VIP room which has an amazing atmosphere. Would recommend it to everyone, by far the best club in Glasgow.

Went 2 this place last night for a 21 and spent all of last week trying 2 book a booth and on the Friday night some 1 phoned back 2 take the deposit we got there before 11 completely sober and well dressed and they turned use all away for no apparent reason the only conclusion that we can make is we were all boys and at that moment there was no females with use at that point so this club is sexist against the male population so any boys looking 2 go out in glasgow KEEP AWAY FROM THIS CLUB

Terrible night, Horrible staff, shocking door staff, also after speaking to the assistant manager his attitude was disgusting. If a venue thinks it's ok to treat people like this it'll not last. Totally disgusting place won't ever be back and would never recommend to anyone looking for a good night out in glasgow.

I concur with the others. A truly awful night club. The place is far too small, with too may small rooms leading off and winding corridors which lead to nothing - except you getting lost. Their main problem - as noted by others who have left reviews - are the largely unintelligible bouncers, who seek only a power trip. Myself and a group of friends had the misfortune of being rejected, despite several in the group being sober - we're also a respectable group of young people. When we inquired as to why we were rejected - by a small, fat and bald man who I believe many have problems with - he refused to give us an answer. 'Can't tell you.' 'I don't know' 'Company Policy not to tell you'. Whilst to our misfortune we got rejected - probably because we are male - every female who attempted to get in, regardless of how drunk the individual was, managed to get it. I know many people who have had problems with this venue and also the bouncer mentioned. I'd avoid the place at all costs personally, there is always a better alternative open. To reiterate, avoid this awful excuse of an establishment.

No stars would be very appropriate here also. Very similar story to the people above, having pre-booked and pre-paid a deposit for a booth 13 of us then turn up to be turned away at the door and deposit returned. The door staff were very rude to us all and only said 'we do not need to give you a reason', they said 'for any complaints go through the website'. As a bunch of young professionals from all over Scotland we found this totally unacceptable as you can imagine our dismay when we had nowhere to go. Be aware when booking a booth as this is likely to happen again. We are unlikely to be going again and making sure our friends do the same.

Absolute disgusting place. How this can be called a nightclub is beyond me. After trying for 2 weeks to get a booth we finally managed to organise one. We recieved confirmation from the events manager that people won't be turned away unless it falls within the normal door rules, too drunk, not dressed appropriately etc. After turning up to the club at 10pm , before normal opening time, the door staff refused entry to half the party. When asked for a reason he replied "I don't need to talk to you". I then spoke to the person in charge of our booth and they responded saying they can't do anything. The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful, the club inside is tiny and the "nightclub" as a whole is a complete joke. If anyone is looking for a good night in Glasgow this is certainly NOT the place.

If there were no stars I would definitely put it. This is the worst night club there is. For starters it is near impossible to get in contact with anyone there. I tried booking a booth for my birthday and I tried for 5 days straight calling them every hour from 9pm-2am two separate phone numbers and there was no answer each time. I also tried messaging them on Facebook and they read my message and didn't reply. I also emailed them and eventually after near over a week someone got back to me. It took a good while for me to eventually hire this booth and it was absolutely ridiculous. Finally the night came and half of the people in the group were allowed in. We then asked the reasons for the other people not getting in and they would not even give us a reason. Eventually we asked to speak with a manager and was no help. The manager continued to try and ignore the situation, not helping at all, not giving us any explanation, speaking with other people and being cheeky. The club is tiny, the staff are no help and the people are ridiculous and to anyone looking for a good night or a booth for a birthday this is NOT the place. Very poor service and very disappointed.
