A moody little speakeasy in the city centre, Devil Of Brooklyn is tucked on Renfield Street behind a discreet doorway and opens into warm, low-lit intimacy: polished wood, candle-glow, plush corners and a gentle haze of incense that gives the room its hush. The design takes inspiration from mythology and the soundtrack is soft enough to keep conversations front and centre.
Cocktails are precise and considered - from signature serves like Aphrodite to bespoke, “tell-us-your-flavours” builds - and modern classics are poured with the same restraint. There’s a thoughtful low‑and‑no list, plus a neat whisky selection and well-chosen wines. By day, the team flips the space into Devil’s Roast (weekdays), a speciality coffee bar stocked with local beans and small‑batch pastries; come evening, table service returns and the lights drop.
Accolades-wise, Devil Of Brooklyn has been highlighted on Glasgow shortlists (including a Best Bar nod) with its Aphrodite cocktail singled out among notable city serves. It’s independently run too.
